  • Luxury, elegant and creative, wonderfully relaxing.

"I cannot recommend 'The Paquerie' enough. I left having felt exceptionally well fed and cultured. Immediately I was stuck with the stunning romance of this classic French House, garden and delightful cave. A real French treat. Brian and Thérèse have decorated the accommodation with great love and consideration. Staying in the cave was magical! Everything that you may need is supplied in the highest standard. From Etro Shampoo to beautifully soft and comfortable sheets, antique furniture and very powerful shower. The fresh fruit breakfast, croissants and homemade jams are a perfect start for culture vultures to explore the very near by Chateax and local markets. Brian and Thérèse are extremely knowledgable in local history and are very helpful as guides. They are also discreet and unobtrusive when you are tired from a long day's indulging. Luxury, elegant and creative, wonderfully relaxing. Thank you very much for having us!"

  • Perfect rental in the Loire Valley

"When we pulled into Noizay village and noticed the beautiful manor house on the hill, we couldn't believe our GPS was leading us to it. Even more perfect was the stone "guest house" next to the manor where we spent 6 idyllic days. The downstairs was open and airy and we let the huge French doors stay open half the time to bring in the breeze and make it easy to access the patio - it felt like true, indoor/outdoor living. The upstairs master bedroom was extremely comfortable and all of the facilities were top notch ... there was even a heated towel rack! Noizay might not be a terribly exciting village but the house is within easy driving distance to Amboise (great restaurants) and Vouvray (excellent wine) and you can make day trips to nearly all of the region's chateaux easily from here. If you like walking, don't miss out on the town's two walking trails (13km and 16km) that leave from both the front and back edges of the property and take you on beautiful rambles through the vineyards. I think we walked some part of these trails every evening after dinner. The house is a gem and so were Claude and Francine. Incredibly kind and welcoming, they even gave us a tour of the large manor house and the wine cellar - the old press was amazing! Our three-year-old loved the big yard with the slide and kids' toys. For our family of five, this was an amazing experience and we would love to return. Merci beaucoup, Claude et Francine, pour un sejour tres tres agreable!!"

  • Comfortable, charming apartment!

"We loved our stay in this charming apartment. It was comfortable, convenient to everything, and right across the street from Leonardo de Vinci's home, which our kids thought was amazing. Our hosts were gracious and helpful. We would highly recommend this rental for families traveling with kids. It worked out perfectly for us."

  • A restful and interesting place to experience French culture and country life

"My family and friends all enjoyed our stay at the Bournand chateau. The place is charming and peaceful. And nearby, there are so many beautiful castles, caves, gardens to explore, good fresh produce & food to savor and interesting culture & history to learn, I cannot find a better place to experience an ideal French country life. Above all, the owner Marie had been a most gracious hostess. Alway with a cheerful smile, she provided helps when we asked and gave suggestions when we were unfamiliar with the local custom/conditions. She had made our stay most comfortable."
