"We cannot emphasise how much we loved our stay here. It was like waking up to a dream every morning when you looked outside your window! Fiona was exceptionally helpful. We arrived later than expected, tired and hungry, and there was wine, baguette, terrine, and butter waiting for us! We were so thankful for that! As we arrived late once it was dark, Fiona showed us around the house that night, and the town the following day. We were shown the best baker, butcher and patisserie which was so helpful as we were there for Christmas and enjoyed a feast! Fiona also helped us call local suppliers to get produce ordered for Christmas eve! It helped us so much as none of us spoke French. 7 Adults and 2 Children stayed in this property and we had more room than we needed. It was such a special time which will stay with us forever. We hope to come back, and we would recommend this place to anyone. Chinon was also a lovely town, and everyone was really helpful and friendly despite of our very poor French!"

"Previous reviews have addressed accommodations, location and guidance provided by Brian and Therese Morgan. Our short summary would be that there could be NO better place to launch an exploration of the attractions in the central Loire Valley . . . which include Amboise, chateaus, wineries, abbeys, historic villages and French dining options that will raise the bar on your next trip to Applebees when you get home. Therese is an artist and a potter. Brian is a retired Boeing 747 captain and master photographer. And, a teacher in both of these professions. Brian and Therese are "Renaissance" people who possess outstanding knowledge of the history and culture of the region as well as any other subject you would care to discuss at dinner time. As such, you will leave with an unforgettable experience. We left on the TGV to Paris with over 1200 digital photos and two friends in Limeray."

Exploring the Loire Valley from a fantastic apartment in the beautiful town of Amboise!
"Five of us, my daughter, her husband, my wife's sister, my wife and myself spent a wonderful week in this apartment. It is a lovely apartment and the views from the apartment windows are unbelievable. Each bedroom window has a direct view of the Amboise chalet next door. The town of Amboise is wonderful and so much fun to walk around in during the times we were not driving other places to see other chalets. We loved the big market on Sunday morning and the smaller market on Friday. The apartment is located near everything. There are lots of restaurants nearby. The renting of the apartment was very easy and all of our questions that we asked were answered very quickly. Etienne met us at the apartment and showed us around. The week we were there was the hottest week they have had but with the fans that were in the apartment and open windows we had no problems staying cool. We enjoyed the space of the apartment and appreciated having such a nice place to stay. We had rented a car on arrival in Paris so were able to go to several other chalets that were nearby. We loved all of the chalets and the flower gardens. It is a beautiful area! This is a wonderful place to stay for a great time in the Loire valley area. Would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to explore the Loire valley. It would be great for families with children also!"
