  • Charming, spacious and comfortable

"Fabrice and Frederique, the delightful owners of the apartment were extremely friendly and helpful. Fabrice collected us from the train station and transported the 4 of us, and our luggage, to the apartment which is situated in the original medieval sector of the historic city of Tours. Metres away from Place Plumereau which is packed with a host of reasonably priced restaurants, surrounded by timber framed multi story biuldings. The apartment was well equipped, great bathrooms and fully equipped kitchen, dining area and comfortable sofas decorated in a traditional French style. An extensive library of tourist and reading material was available as was the free wifi. Always only a phone call away, Fabrice and Frederique were only too happy to help with any enquiries. Located centrally for road access to all of the Loire valley's Chateau's from Angers to the west to Blois in the East. We even managed a trip to Le Mans to visit the motor museum and the cathedral which is full of Plantagenet history. The apartment was only 100 metres from the new tram in Tours which gave quick access to the shopping precinct. I would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the Loire."

  • La vie de château en France

"Less than 2 miles from Chenonceaux, hidden in a 4 acre "parc à la française", an elegant mansion with 2 wings in one of which is the very comfortable apartment for guests. There is a spacious kitchen/dining room with a silent fridge serving as a living room with its French windows leading outside. The salon has books, films and doors that open onto the private terrace. Thick walls all round make for complete silence in the bedroom and a large bathroom completes the picture. Valerie welcomes you generously with good food in the fridge, wine from the property, olive oil produced by her son in Italy, fresh flowers and a baguette (the best bread in the area). I was there for a week in February/March and the swimming pool was covered. It summer it must be paradise to relax and swim in such seclusion, at one with Nature. There is a beautiful view of the park from the house where you can enjoy the old trees forming a glorious skyline - my favourite. I will be returning soon."
