  • Complete paradise on the Cote d'Azur

"My family and I have just returned from the most fantastic two weeks at La Petit Cachette. We were eight people in total; four boys aged 7, 9, 11 and 14, my in-laws and my husband and myself. The house is just perfect with the most stunning interiors, idyllic pool and pool house (which my husband and I slept in most comfortably for the two weeks). We had everything we needed. The kitchen is very well equipped and the wifi and sonos music system were a real bonus (especially for my eldest son!) The pool is very big and there are plenty of loungers with cushions. We ate all of our meals at the long wooden table on the terrace with a stunning view of Plan de la Tour. You do need a car here to be able to pop out and get provisions etc and you definitely need one that can cope with the unmade track that leads up to the house. There are of course many superb restaurants to explore in Saint Maxime and St Tropez and head south to find the best family beaches (not too far away and worth the drive). This villa is so good, I almost don't want to tell anyone and just keep it secret!"

  • dont have any worries....just do it!

"a home from home in a beautiful quite location. the host was terrific. I would not hesitate to recommend this to a couple looking for a peaceful retreat. if you get to know the local public transport you can venture far and wide at little expense. we had breakfast in france dinner in Italy and supper in Monaco....stress free. don't bring much luggage. theres 50 steps to the train station! 10/10"

  • A Real Gem

"Great location 2 minutes from the Port and from Place Garibaldi. The apartment is on the third floor of a lovely building in a quiet side street and is full of character but somehow doesn't feel cramped or touristy. We've stayed in the old town before and found it airless, claustrophobic and impossible to get any sleep but this place is large, open and airy even in the 30 degree heat when we were there. It's got loads of charm and character but is bang up to date where it matters with a fantastic and enormous new bathroom, stupendous shower, great comfortable beds, wifi etc. The booking process via Tristan, and the welcome from Marilia, were both really efficient but everything is done with that fantastic personal touch which just makes you feel that these are very nice people who are actually bothered about you and want you to have a great time! Have to say we also had a fabulous meal just round the corner in the Port at Le Passe-plat for not much more than we paid in the old town for some bog standard pizza. Anyway, if you like huge, bland, anonymous apartment blocks with matching balconies then maybe this apartment isn't for you but we absolutely adored it and it will be our first port of call next time we're in Nice."
