  • Nice vacation

"we had a lovely 2 weeks stay in this apartment. we were met on arrival and shown everything we need . the apartment was clean , well equipped, comfortable bedding, free WiFi internet access. perfectly situated within walking distance to stores, beaches, downtown, restaurants, etc. there is public transit right outside the door. just 10 min walk to Prom. Anglais, Massena, Old city. The owner was in touch during our stay to ensure everything was to our liking. in addition there was a contact list to call if you encounter any difficulties or have questions . we will stay there again if we return to Nice and we would recommend this apartment to friend and family. thank you, Vanina ! luda and sam toronto , canada"

  • Great holiday

"We really enjoyed our stay at La Gramua. Well equipped, peaceful and relaxing. Having breakfast on the balcony in February is great! Thanks for your advice on places to go in Nice. My little boy loved Le Paillon and my Mum enjoyed the Market in the Vieux Nice. The children's toys in the garden were a 'big hit' with John. We will be back!"

  • A Real Value

"The place is as described. In our three-week experience in three French towns, the price is a relative bargain. Gloria was responsive and helpful. Walking almost anywhere is possible but learning to use the public transit is easy and cheap. There is a supermarket, the "U", just around the corner. We ate breakfast and supper in and ate lunch out. The washer/dryer combo does a better job of washing than drying, so we made us of the supplied drying rack."

  • Perfect apartment for our week getaway

"As soon as my husband and I walked into the apartment we were thrilled with what we saw - it is exactly as it looks in the pictures. Fantastic view from both the living room and the bedroom with lots of light, antique but comfortable furniture and a really well appointed kitchen complete with staples such as spices, coffee, sugar, etc and even a welcome bottle of wine and package of cookies ! All paper products and cleaning supplies, including clothes soap and fabric softener were provided. All this gave us a good feeling on arrival. Hortensia was there when we arrived and gave us a very thorough introduction and useful information about the apartment. Our favourite destinations were Monaco, Monte Carlo, Cannes, St Paul de Vence, the Rothschild villa and all the villages on the coast between Nice and Monaco. It really is a stunning coastline. We took the train to Cannes ( train station is a 45 minute walk away ) but used the bus for everything else - it's more scenic, very inexpensive and much handier with a bus stop outside the door for most destinations. We had lunches out but ate dinners in because we were always tired after full days of walking and touring - it's a delightful apartment to have a meal right at home. There are a couple of smaller supermarkets within a ten minute walk but we preferred Intermarche ( 15 minute walk ) because it is larger and has greater variety. There was an air traffic controllers strike the day we were supposed to leave and our flight was cancelled, so we had to book a 6am flight the next day. Luckily we were able to stay in the apt one more night and Hortensia booked us a taxi for 4am. Lost some sleep that night wondering if the taxi would show up but he was right on time ! This apt was perfect for us because we enjoy walking, it is slightly uphill from town so anyone who isn't too mobile might want to take a bus which stops right at the apt. Thank you very much Olivia for giving us the opportunity to stay in your lovely apt. John and Linda"
