  • Great location and cozy apartment!

"My wife and I stayed in Joel's apartment for 3 nights, and have nothing but nice things to say about both Joel and his apartment. The location is just excellent, walk out of the building and you are right in the heart of Nice. 1 min walk will take to you the beach and around the building is a busy walk friendly street with tons of restaurant, shopping etc.. The convertible sofa bed is very comfortable, definitely feels like a real bed. The kitchen is very well equipped for a small breakfast or a full dinner cooking. The balcony that connects the outside of the kitchen and living room is great to sit and relax and also has a sun shade that comes out for sunny afternoons. Joel was very friendly, always responded to emails on time and was waiting for us in the apartment when we reached there. Overall we had a great time in nice, thanks to Joel and his affordable apartment! we will definitely stay again when we visit southern france."

  • Perfect Location

"This apartment was the most perfectly located place we could have hoped for. There were six of us and the large space was comfortable for us all. The location could not have been better. We were a block from the tram, right across the street from a wonderful supermarket, and about a three block walk from the train station. The Old Town section was a tram ride away or a short walk and the market there and shops were very interesting. We cooked at home one night and the apartment had everything we needed to enjoy the evening's meal. Would definitely stay here again if it is available."

  • Comfortable & Central

"This was our second trip to Nice. We were disappointed that the previous beach apartment we stayed in was unavailable so we tried something new. This apartment is right amongst it & great contrast to staying by the beach. There is a huge variety of all requirements within minutes. Firstly, the walk from the train station (with backpacks) was not overly far & of course we had the option of jumping on the tram but it wasn't necessary. And the walk allows you to see where to find the Monoprix, pharmacy, shopping, bus stops etc. We arrived on the busiest day of summer & the Avenue Jean Medecin was packed to overflowing. The apartment is everything you see in the photos & did not disappoint. There is an elevator but the walk up isn't too bad if you feel like exercise. There is nothing like relaxing on the balcony with a drink. We were lucky enough to be on the balcony for a war memorial ceremony held directly below, including military band playing the national anthem - an unforgettable highlight. You are directly across from Galeries Lafayette, which is not as great as it used to be but okay. Nightlife is crazy if that is your thing & it is all around you. You are just around the corner from numerous restaurants. Watch out for smokers flouting the 'no smoking indoors' rule. If you need quiet to sleep, then this is probably not for you. There is the constant 'ding' of the tram below the bedroom window, but there are also the people milling past at all hours & not very quietly. I was not fazed but it could be a turn off for some. We were travelling for a month so having a washing machine was a big deal. And the kitchen was handy because the Monoprix is one of the best in France with a huge array of fresh food & groceries. At Place Garibaldi there is a bus to Monaco for under 2 euro. It takes you to just near the Casino & travels through villages such as Eze. It's a nice scenic trip. I'll look for this apartment next time we visit Nice."

The French Riviera became a popular tourist vacation destination after World War II.
