  • Beautiful apartment on edge of Nice old town

"We stayed in this apartment for Christmas 2014 and couldn’t have been happier. First of all, it is extremely well located within Nice – at the edge of the ‘old town’, overlooking the Place Massena and an approximately 3-4 minute walk from the Promenade des Anglais and its beach. Everything around it is just lovely. Second, it’s a beautiful apartment, well furnished, well equipped and well taken care of. Unlike many rentals that may have spartan and/or Ikea furniture, this one is well decorated and really feels like a home. If you’re considering this apartment – don’t hesitate, you won’t regret it! Although we were there in winter, I would definitely rent it in summer as well. It has a lovely terrace overlooking the Place Massena that I think probably gets afternoon/evening sun in the summer time. We (two adults in two separate rooms and a dog) enjoyed the large kitchen with its farmhouse-sized table, separate dining room and ample living room. One bedroom has an en-suite bath and one is located off the hallway – both are nice, clean and well maintained. The small third bedroom is accessed through the second (non-master) bedroom but also has direct access to the terrace (which could be locked in the case of using it for a child). The owners were also lovely, very helpful and very easy to deal with. They responded quickly to inquiries, provided all necessary information and were just very nice people. No fuss, no drama and they clearly care about maintaining a nice property. The apartment has good wifi, an excellently equipped kitchen, a parking garage (public, with fees) very close, a lift and really anything you could need. It was very easy to get into and out of Nice to visit nearby towns (subject to rush hour traffic at times)."

  • Perfect location!

"Do you love to stay in the middle of it all; 2 min walk from the beach and Promenade des Anglais, restaurants & shops right outside the door, 15-20 min slow walk to the old city, to sit on the balcony and enjoy the sounds of Nice? – this is the place for you! But, if you are a light sleeper or like to sleep with the windows open, can´t stand noisy motos, people cleaning the streets and picking up the garbage in the very early morning, you should stay outside the city centre. Do you suffer from claustrophobia? The elevator is tiny tiny, there is enough space for 1 person with 1 bag/suitcase. The apartment is on the 6th floor, so you can of course get a lot of exercise during your vacation. The apartment is clean, has a very comfortable (sofa)bed, the description/overview and the photos from the owner are accurate. The owner always responded very friendly to emails on time, he also sent me the most perfect description of how to get from the airport to the apartment. I had a wonderful stay. No complaints or suggestions for improvements from me. Enjoy all Nice has to offer, stay like the French in this typical French apartment. P.S. is it really only 26 m²??"

  • Great holiday

"We really enjoyed our stay at La Gramua. Well equipped, peaceful and relaxing. Having breakfast on the balcony in February is great! Thanks for your advice on places to go in Nice. My little boy loved Le Paillon and my Mum enjoyed the Market in the Vieux Nice. The children's toys in the garden were a 'big hit' with John. We will be back!"
