  • Ideal Location on the Riviera

"This apartment is easily one of the most thoughtfully appointed apartments we've rented in Europe - from the IPOD docking station with good sound system, the DVD player that plays U.S. DVDs, nespresso machine with coffee pods, printer, and fully equipped kitchen. This is the first place we've rented that had enough toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, soap and dry goods for our entire stay. It is perfect for a couple, especially if one person snores and her spouse needs to escape to another room. The bed in the bedroom is very comfortable and the sofabed in the study is fine. There were plenty of sheets and towels, and it was nice to have 1.5 bathrooms. However, this place is really about the VIEW, which is fabulous. The building sits above a busy street, which is both positive and negative. The positive aspect is that it is easy to get anywhere in the area from the apartment. You are steps away from a bus to Nice, Monaco and especially Cap Ferrat (a must!). You can walk downhill to the train station going to all points along the coast, as well as to the beach (great ice cream at the kiosks). You can also walk downhill to the old town with all of the necessary shops, and then you can get exercise walking back up. If you prefer, you can hop on the bus to the supermarket, but we patronized the shops in the old town. The only negative is the street noise. The windows are double-paned, which muffles the sound and there is less traffic at night. We are sensitive to noise, but easily managed 10 nights by using ear plugs to sleep and playing music in the living room during the day. The location and the view really make this place a find!"
