  • Great Apartment for a Family

"We very much enjoyed our stay at this lovely apartment in the Marais. We are a family of 5 and found the lay-out and the decor very comfortable and clean. The wi-fi worked great-not a complaint from the teenagers. There is a lift in this building. Within a few minutes walk is the lovely Square du Temple and a shopping street with markets, a wonderful fromagerie, wine shop, awarding winning boulangerie and great cafes. A major metro stop, Republique, is only a few blocks away. Sophie and her team are so accommodating and helpful. I can't wait to return someday."

  • Excellent flat in a nice Paris neighbourhood

"We had a delightful time in this charming flat. Everything was as Bettina promised and the location is minutes away from transit, bike rentals, bistros and charming little markets. It's a pleasant walk of about 15 minutes to the Seine and close to the Picasso museum. The quartier is quiet (a few party noises on Saturday night and an ebullient daycare/school across the street are al we heard.) One small note of caution: if you are planning on riding the Velib bikes to the centre of town during rush hour traffic, you take your life in your hands!"

  • Sacre Coeur Apartment

"We stayed here six nights in August. I think the price was fair because the apartment wasn't as big as it appeared in the pictures. Luckily we had the 2nd bedroom for our teenaged son because we would have been in each other's laps otherwise! It's ironic that the heading for this listing says "Calm" because this was the noisiest place I've ever stayed in my life! The apartment's windows look out at the trams that run to Sacre Coeur, which are loud and are open late into the evening. There must be a park nearby because every single night there was a concert going on. Sounded like the same group each night and if you absolutely love "Free Fallin" by Tom Petty sung off key 5+ times a night then you're in for a treat! Once the concert ended we listened to drunk people outside the window, yelling into the early morning hours. (One night it was a young man who was upset about something and spent several hours sobbing and lamenting while his friends tried to talk to him. Unfortunately I couldn't understand what he was saying!) Several nights AFTER the drunks went home we listened to what sounded like Electronica being played from inside the building. Needless to say we got little sleep. What's funny is when I read the check-in instructions at home before we left, I made sure my son and husband knew about their noise policy. It goes on for over a page about using quiet voices in the apartment, not letting your luggage bang on anything, taking off your shoes, moving things softly, even keeping young kids from jumping and running around in the apartment. I can only figure they want it so quiet inside so you're able to hear everything going on outside your window clearly. Must be Tom Petty fans! My suggestion to any Americans staying here is to read the check-in instructions closely and maybe copy them over into bullet points. It's not written by someone who speaks English and was really confusing! After travelling 15+ hours we spent several more hours trying to figure out how to get the key. My poor husband traipsed around Paris in the dark before finally enlisting our teenaged son's help while I stood guard over the bags in the rain. The view from this apartment was incredible and it did have some charm. The washing machine (no dryer) was a huge help and the kitchen was fairly well stocked. I would definitely recommend this apartment to people who don't mind noise and are heavy sleepers!!"

  • Really Great Apartment

"This apartment exceeded all of our expectations. I've rented many apartments in Paris, and as another reviewer said, it may be our favorite as well. Brigitte made the booking process very easy. The apartment has every convenience, including a brand new kitchen. The apartment was super clean on arrival. It has a private terrace that we enjoyed as the weather in early November was lovely. I would rent this apartment again in a heartbeat."
