"The owner was wecolming and extremely helpful. It is a great neighborhood. The Metro is several blocks away that will enable you to see all the Paris sights. The apartment is directly across the street from a grocer (beer & wine) and there are several bakeries within a block and numerous cafes and bistros. It is close to the park surrounded by shops, galleries and the first restaurant in Paris, Bofinger. On the negative side, the steps to the bedrooms are narrow with low ceilings. I would not recommend this apartment for anyone taller than 6'2"."

"Stayed a week in the apartment with our family of 5. The apartment staff was prompt, professional, courteous, and flexible with our arrival/departure times. Had a nice chat with the building concierge, a friendly couple who were also helpful. We arranged to have a driver pick-up and drop-off from CdG - definitely worth it if you have a family - probably not worth the extra expense if you are traveling with 2 or less people and comfortable navigating public transportation. The apartment was clean and functional - good sized rooms, refrigerator and living space. Having a washer/dryer in the unit helps immensely as you won't need to pack many clothes. The 7eme is one of the more upscale arrondissements in Paris - the building is just a few meters away from the RER, and walkable to most tourist sites. But the main selling point is the view from the living room/balcony. Simply spectacular and worth the extra rental cost if you want that uniquely Parisian experience. A quick note: Noise travels in almost all Parisian apartments and this one is no different. The 7eme is a pretty quiet neighborhood and has the reputation for parties being shut down very quickly via neighbor complaints. One night, the apartment below us decided to throw a party with techno music blasting until 4:30am. Like I said, sound carries in Paris. I'm guessing it was the start of national vacations for many people, so several units were empty, hence the party continued for a longer than normal. For the most part, I wouldn't be concerned about noise if renting. There is some water damage/leakage from the apartment above this unit. The staff is aware of the problem and hopefully will get it resolved soon. Also, there are 1.75 bathrooms (nice if you have a family). In the 0.75 shower, you need to be careful not to turn up the water all the way as the drain can be quickly overwhelmed - not a big deal, we just used the tub shower for bathing. Overall, it was a very good experience and we would recommend the apartment to our family & friends."

"My wife and I stayed at this apartment for 7 nights. We really enjoyed both the property and location.
We have been to Paris many times and like staying in places away from the main tourist haunts to enjoy the Parisian lifestyle. Pierre's apartment offered both a very lovely home for a week located in a very enjoyable quartier.
Although on the 'edge' of the Marais, we walked everywhere because Paris is a city where walking is so rewarding and the location is, at most, a 20 minute walk to the Seine. There are plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants nearby as well as a couple of supermarkets and boulangeries etc.
The apartment is very quiet as it is ensconced at the rear of an oldler building well away from the street but enjoys plenty of light and fresh air from the courtyard. It is very well equipped with all that one needs for a short stay of a week or two.
Our only disappointments were as follows:
1) we could not get access to the apartment till after 4 pm (16:00) as the previous occupiers had not left on time and the place wasn't cleaned and ready by the agreed 2 pm check in time. It was a long time to wait from our arrival.
2) when we did finally get access, the previous used but now cleaned linen was still in the washing machine and we were requested by the guardienne to put it away in the cupboard.
3) the bedroom wardrobe was half filled with cleaning materials and other items that took away about 50% of useable space that we could have used
4) two cupboard doors in the kitchen were hanging loose and one actually fell off whilst we were there as it had obviously been left that way for some time.
Whilst these were annoying niggly things, our stay was still very comfortable and enjoyable and we would definitely stay again (I think the kitchen cupboards have been repaired now as there are new photos on the web site and they look OK).
The apartment was clean and Pierre, the owner, provided clear directions as how to get there and gain access and seemed to be an owner who cared for our comfort."

"We just loved this stylish, warm, light-filled, quiet, apartment. Perfect location and oh-so-perfectly comfortable. Sofa beds are usually spawn of the devil to me but the one in this beautiful apartment was so comfortable I'd have loved to take it home. The bed in the spacious bedroom was a delight to snuggle into and everything in the well equipped kitchen worked well. It even offers BBC English speaking television if you want a night in. You may not however - as this location is so special, surrounded by terrific little French restaurants with really tasty affordable food, the most delicious patisseries and kosher bakeries!! Just walking around and sampling the delights via window shopping was a thrill but even more of one was the actual sampling, the cheesecake, or the opera cakes or the chocolate tarts from the little pastry coffee shop literally just around the corner in Rue des Rosier, or a little further down the same street the cumin bread and pain chocolate and fresh flaky croissants. The fantastic Lebanese/African food at Chez Marianne fifty metres from your door, the creperies, and kebab shops. Oh I could rave forever. The location is also perfect walking distance to so many splendid things - ten minutes to the Pompidou Centre, about the same distance to Notre Dame, the Seine, Sant Chapelle, and about a km walk to the wonderful Promenade Plantee, a beautiful aerial garden built in an old viaduct. A gorgeous spring day, flowers blooming and a stroll looking over the Paris rooftops. Aaaah!!. There are also several small supermarkets - including an organic Bio market a block away and a monoprix very close by. You're also easy walking to a couple of metro stations. The apartment is up one flight of not too bad stairs and there is an elevator but it only stops at half floors. Booking and dealing with Anne, the French- based manager of this gem was super easy. She was friendly, helpful and thorough. I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment and would I stay there again....?? You bet!"
