  • Location Location Location and so much more!!!

"This apartment is in the perfect location! Rue de Buci is a bustling, happening street in the heart of Saint Germain Des Pres with outdoor cafes, bakeries, coffee shops, a grocery store and pharmacy, all within a block. 10 - 15 minute walk to many major attractions including the Louvre, Orsay Museum, Notre Dame, Sainte Chapelle, and the St Michel RER station to catch the C train directly to Versailles! There is more than enough closet and drawer space to unpack all your belongings and even store your luggage out of sight so it really feels like home. 24 quality hangers to accommodate tops and/or slacks. Plenty of counter space in the living area to spread out your maps, papers, etc., in addition to bar in the kitchen to sit down and relax for a meal. Ample counter space in the bathroom to store your toiletries. Large windows on both sides of apartment for wonderful cross-ventilation. The apartment was spotless and most essentials were provided - paper towels, toilet paper, kleenex, etc. Towels were provided but I forgot that Europeans consider wash cloths personal items and do not provide them so recommend you bring your own as well as your own bath soap. We were greeted upon arrival with a lovely bottle of French wine from Federico, such a pleasant surprise! I agree with previous reviewer that Paul's Bakery is not very good. We prefer Carton's on Rue de Buci just before it becomes Saint Andre Des Arts. Had dinner at Chez Fernand located at 9 Rue Christine and Le Bistrot d'Henri located at 16 Rue Princesse and enjoyed both enough to return for a second time (both recommended by previous reviewer). Loved the scallops with pasta and pesto on main menu at Le Bistrot d'Henri and sea bass on specials menu at Chez Fernand. Also enjoyed tasting menu at Kitchen Galerie Bis located at 25 rue de Grand Augustines but be aware that it is more pricey. All three within 4 minutes walking distance from apartment. So relaxing after a busy day! Recommend reservations at all 3. The only drawback with this apartment was the small shower but having traveled in Europe before I can tell you that this is to be expected in this price range. Overall this is a great apartment in a perfect location - a fantastic value for the money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
