"This is a great apartment in a great location. Nicely decorated, very clean, well equipped. I traveled solo and it was perfect for me. Very quiet apartment block and yet steps away from rue Lepic and the atmosphere of Montmartre. Very handy to metro and also bus routes. Rue Lepic has everything one needs. I can thoroughly recommend Paula who manages the property. I had a problem with my hip and she even arrived on my day of departure to help me with my luggage as the lift was being serviced. Nothing was too much trouble. I loved the opportunity to experience living in Montmartre and Paula made the process of doing this from initial inquiry, to booking, to security deposit refund, so easy. Thanks Paula and owners."Guest: Adrienne S. Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: October 13, 2014View listing
"My family and I checked in, including 2 teens and an 8 year old, on August 16, and we were blown away by how perfect the location was, how spacious and well-equipped the apartment is, the amazing huge private garden, and Alina’s beautiful art and furniture. We did not even mind that we arrived as the last guests were still in the throws of packing and leaving (turned out we are from the same home town in the U.S.). We left our bags and took a boat tour on the Seine to kill a few hours. We still did not mind that no one knew the apartment needed to be cleaned or the linens changed. Willie was sweet and accommodating on the phone. I found beautiful, ultra-soft, cotton linens for all the beds and remade them happily, imagining this was my lovely apartment! The cleaning crew came the next day, so there was really no issue. It would have been nice if the washer had been working, but we successfully washed key items in the kitchen sink and used the dryer to finish the laundry. We also appreciated finding some Coke, coffee, butter, etc. in the fridge, ample cleaning supplies, and TP, and we tried to leave a decent amount of various useful items when we left…a nice system! I can’t imagine staying anywhere else in Paris now, and I’m afraid my kids will have a tough time at youth hostels in the future knowing how wonderful it was to live like a local in the perfect location in Paris. The shops, the bakery, the “smelly cheese shop” with the amazing ham, the gelato and Berthillion made our street the place to be and live like a Parisian. The added bonus of passing Notre Dame almost every time we wandered out and the easy-access Metro stations all around perfected the experience. We will be back, Alina, and, hopefully, for more than 5 nights next time. Many thanks for sharing such a lovely apartment."Guest: Liz L. "Being a homeowner listed on Home away, I have very high standards in the properties I rent. This property met and even exceeded my expectations! It was lovely, well cared for, and well stocked. The location was perfect! You are just steps away from Notre Dame, a metro station, a cab stand, and every kind of restaurant you could want. I would have been happy just sitting in the lovely little garden, instead of site seeing. You will not be disappointed here, the manager David will help you sort out everything. I highly recommend letting them book your car service, they were excellent. Kp"Guest: Kathy P. Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: September 5, 2014View listing
"We (5 of us) had the pleasure to stay for two weeks in this most remarkable Parisian apartment. We were welcomed by Paul and Sylvie and shown around this 'dream' apartment. It is a grand salon of huge proportions. The main living rooms ooze old world charm and have beautiful moulded ceilings while the bathrooms are very modern. Where else do you get a view of the Eiffel Tower from your bathroom? Each bedroom was spacious and had excellent views of the city. The building has a lift (the apartment is on the sixth and top floor) and while quite small it serves its purpose. There are a couple of shops at ground level including a chemist, a small market and a patisserie and within a couple of minutes walk you will find more shops, bus stops and a RER station. There are open air markets on Saturday, Tuesday and Thursday just around the corner on Rue Port Royal along with many very good restaurants and bistros nearby as well as a short stroll to the beautiful Luxembourg Gardens. This apartment is a home and therefore has all of the conveniences you need to make it an enjoyable Parisian experience. The kitchen had all modern appliances as did the laundry. I highly recommend this apartment to anyone wanting a "special" place to stay in Paris."Guest: Martin Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: October 13, 2014View listing
