  • Great for a family with young children!

"This apartment was well suited and comfortable for our family of four (two adults and two children, 7 and 9). This was our first booking using VRBO, and the booking process was incredibly easy and efficient with Gunnar (the owner). Connie was an absolute pleasure, and we truly appreciated her hospitality; she was always available to answer any questions we had. Our flight arrived at approximately 6am, and I was so appreciative that the apartment was immediately available to us upon arrival after an 8 hour flight. As an alternate to taking the train, prior to our arrival, we opted to take Connie’s offer to arrange for a private pickup to bring us directly to the apartment. This was well worth it. To get up to the apartment, you do have to walk up three flights of stairs (there is no lift). At first this seems daunting, but in reality it was not a big deal (considering all the walking we did around Paris, our kids did not complain once about going up three flights of stairs). The apartment is well equipped with everything you could possibly need. All appliances were clean and in working order. The free wifi access was definitely a plus, and worked adequately. The TV worked fine, too, but we could not get any of the international channels listed on the sheet (i.e. CNN, BBC), but we weren’t there to watch TV anyways. We did not have any problems with using the shower, however, if you are definitely taller than 5’11”, you will not be able to stand up straight in the shower. The fan in the bathroom could have used some cleaning, but otherwise, the bathroom was adequate for our needs. The loft area is very short; perhaps less than four feet high. While this was not an issue for us (since our kids were sleeping up there, and they happily loved being up there) for others, this may not be ideal. The location was excellent, and we felt very safe to walk around the area. The apartment is less than a 10 minute walking distance to Chatelet-Les Halles, Palais Royale, and Louvre-Rivoli metro stations, so there is easy transportation to anywhere you want to go. The Louvre is less than a 10 minute walk. There is a good bakery just below the apartment, as well as a grocery market and fruit market. There are also plenty of Fran Prix grocery markets within a 10 minute walking distance, too, as well as plenty of cafés and restaurants. We will definitely be recommending this apartment to others and would definitely stay here again!"

  • Unforgettable Stay in Central Paris - Family of 5

"Just perfect!!! That basically sums it all up. The apartment was as pictured on the website. It was very clean. And it was so strategic to good food and shopping - Rue St. Honore! And this unit was the biggest of his other beautiful units - we all had our own private space to spread out and relax after a long day of shopping or sightseeing. Patrick, the owner, was there to meet us upon arrival and he gave us a very thorough orientation on how to manage the flat (sofa bed, dishwasher, washing machine, heater, stove, etc). He even gave some welcome treats (Easter chocolates for my 9 yr old daughter as we arrived Easter weekend, and for us some butter, milk and orange juice.) Thank you! There was some oil and salt provided so that came in very handy. Dishwashing tablets, trash bags and liquid laundry detergent were provided as well to last for about a week. He even provided this Instruction Manual for all your questions (what to do before check out, trouble shooting appliances, etc). This included a map of nearby groceries, church, restaurants and gave some really good recommendation for really delicious food in the area. Try Madame Shawn's Thai food at Rue de Marche it is the best. And the Ebis chinese japanese fusion restaurant plus many more. There was even a small Chinese minimart which sold some quick Chinese take out and that came in handy during our last night when we were all busy packing. The area is very secure. Codes provided. There is a good patisserie almost across the property. What can I say? Keep it up Patrick!!! And for future tenants, pls help maintain the unit so we can all go back and enjoy it. My kids ages 17, 14 and 9 all agree that their stay at Patrick's flat was the best, and better compared to our hotel stays in Leicester Square, London; Lyon; and Aix-En-Provence. Thank you so very much Patrick!!! We hope to be back sooner than later."

  • Wonderful apartment right in a wonderful location

"There is so much to like about this apartment. Located in a safe, quiet but very convenient part of Paris, Olivier's apartment is spacious, clean and is a great place to come back to after a long day of exploring. Although very tiny, the elevator in the apartment block means that you won't have to lug your luggage up 4 flights of stairs yourself. The three separate bedrooms all in their own corner of the apartment allows for privacy and the beds are very comfy. The well-working wifi and option to call (for free) to landlines overseas was a huge benefit and one that my family was grateful for. The fully functioning kitchen with plenty of appliances meant that it was easy to make a meal at the apartment, although it would have been nice to have had a drying rack for the dishes. The two and a half bathrooms (the toilet is on its own) meant that more than one person could be utilising the bathroom at once. There are plenty of restaurants, bakeries and lovely cafes nearby (Télescope just next door is great!), as well as the supermarket at Monoprix on Avenue de l'Opéra. It's almost crazy how convenient it is to get to the big tourist attractions (The Louvre, Musée d'Orsay, Eiffel Tower etc.) from the apartment either by Metro or walking. My family thanks Olivier for taking the time to check my family in, go through house rules and give us tips on exploring and navigating our way through Paris. I'm sure that being able to stay at such a great apartment positively affected our first time trip to Paris and I'd happily recommend this apartment to family and friends."

  • Absolutely Amazing Apartment

"This apartment is the best one we have ever stayed in. The location is perfect. You can walk to anywhere from there. The views are spectacular. You can see all of Paris from the balconies. The apartment is well equipped and has everything you could want. It is actually so much bigger than it looks in the pictures. We enjoyed staying here and Eric was so accommodating. Do not hesitate to book this place...it is well worth it. Thanks Eric for letting us use your apartment."
