  • Spacious apartment for four on top floor with great architectural elements!

"Stayed for three nights with wife and two teenagers - we loved this place, especially after 12 hour days enjoying the sights. Well-equipped kitchen and large dining table/area was perfect for sharing a few meals or relaxing together. Livingroom had two couches large enough for our rather tall kids to sleep comfortably and was a great spot to hang out one rainy morning. Spiral staircase (narrow) led to the open loft bedroom which benefitted from tremendous windows with both rooftop and courtyard views. Bathroom with a great and quite large tub/shower was located off the bedroom. We also enjoyed the bakery on the ground floor level of the buiding - superior croissants. Will was very attentive to any questions we had and always responded lightning-fast. He also allowed us to check-in to the apartment mid-morning on our arrival date, saving us the hassle of storing our luggage elsewhere. Location was convenient, one block from Metro stop and very close to the Gare d'Est and Gare d'Nord. We didn't invest much time in the local neighborhood as we were taking in all the typical tourist sights along the Seine. This apartment was a great value, would stay here again. One other thing - it's a top floor apartment, six floors and 98 steps up. Not a problem for us but might be for others."

  • Wonderful apartment in the 10th!

"My family and I had the great fortune to stay at Helene's fabulous apartment last month. I agree with all of the positive, 5-star reviews that are on this listing, all of which were very helpful in making our decision to stay here. It was the perfect location for our family of 5 -- the apartment was very spacious and beautifully decorated, we had everything we needed (we felt like guests in a friend's home), and we loved looking out of the large windows to view the canal below (and watching all of the interesting people going about their day). Helene was also extremely helpful to us before we rented, answering any question we had, and we were ESPECIALLY grateful for her help when one of the members of our family needed a doctor because of an allergic reaction to some food she ate - I called Helene in a bit of a panic looking for advice and she guided me to her resource book that she created for her guests (with all of the information you will need for help, medical assistance, travel tips, restaurants, etc.) and a doctor was able to come to the apartment within 45 minutes! The area is part of an active community and, as has been written, there is some noise from the street, but I personally think that adds to the apartment's charm and personality - I loved that part! There are also many restaurants in the area, with very nice restaurant in our building that was a hangout and a personal favorite of ours. The Metro is a 5 minute walk away, which was also a huge plus for us. Our trip to Paris will be a memory that our family will never forget, and being able to stay at Helene's beautiful apartment will always be a special part of that memory. We will definitely stay here again!"

  • Autumn return

"My recent return to Chez Grisette was most enjoyable as expected. It was furnished to meet every need a guest might have. The ultimate compliment is that it feels as close to home as one might hope for. Sheila, the agent for Chez Grisette, was most accomodating to our arrival schedule and made me feel most welcome as usual. Thank you for once again making my visit to Paris so perfect."
