  • retired U.S. couple

"This charming apartment is located in the eastern part of the 12th arrondissemont, which contains no major tourist attractions, but is a lively, typically Parisian neighborhood. (And a short walk to the Marais.) There are a number of excellent restaurants nearby as well as the highly-rated Aligre market and one of the best boulangeries just across the street (yum!) There are also several excellent supermarkets within a short walking distance for those who wish to take advantage of the well-equipped kitchen in the apartment, or just stock up on breakfast items or snacks. The apartment itself is spacious and comfortably furnished with plenty of storage space. Some reviewers have commented on the firmness of the bed(s) in the second bedroom but our guests found them comfortable. Another positive aspect of the apartment is that it is very quiet, considering it is in the heart of a busy city. The hosts were friendly and helpful, eager to provide information on transportation, restaurants, etc. And any questions or minor problems were addressed immediately. In addition to the available wi-fi, there is a telephone which can even be used for international calls (within certain limits.) We have been to Paris a number of times and when we come back again we would love to return to this apartment!"

  • Fabulous Parisian Apartment

"I had a wonderful experience staying at Le Deco. The apartment is very comfortable and well equipped, from the abundance of bathroom towels to every kitchen item one would need, along with a pantry stocked with essentials for cooking meals in. The location was ideal for traveling to any part of Paris, with 3 metro stops within a 1 to 4 minute walk from the apartment. I am a single woman, 65 years of age, and felt very safe in this non-touristy neighborhood. Although the apartment is small, but not by Parisian standards, the layout and use of space and storage was well planned out. The space would be tight for 4 adults but for a couple or a couple with small children, it is ideal. I loved being able to look out the 3 large double windows onto the street and see the people going to work and the children walking to school. I have been to Paris several times but this was my first experience staying in an apartment. I would definitely recommend this apartment to friends, along with the Adrian Leeds group. They were very easy to work with and if I had a question about anything, I received a call back from them within the hour. I couldn't have been happier with my choice. I will definitely stay at Le Deco on my next trip to Paris, which I am hoping will be next year."

  • Wonderful Apartment! Fabulous Location!

"My husband and I stayed here for a week in late March 2015. The apartment is wonderful, and the location is fabulous! The apartment is situated in a residential neighborhood near the Bastille with lots of nearby restaurants and three grocery stores, including a Biocoop with lots of vegetarian options. Also, the apartment is only a few blocks away from a convenient Metro line. You can get anywhere is the city easily from here. The apartment owners Cathy and Alan were in communication beforehand, with information and recommendations about transportation, restaurants, etc. They also emailed us during our stay to make sure that we were comfortable. Notably, the apartment has reliable internet access, which is a major requirement when we travel. This was actually the first European apartment that we have rented in years in which the internet was functioning properly. The apartment was extremely comfortable, so much so that we are already thinking about planning our next visit to Paris, now that we have found accommodations that we like. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! Thank you!"

  • A calm, clean, sunny apartment in a bustling, fun Parisian neighborhood

"The apartment is in a quiet, well-maintained elevator building. It's nicely laid out, with a separate kitchen, and it's extremely clean. Its large windows--in both the living/dining room and kitchen--overlook the rooftops of the neighborhood and make the apartment (which is well proportioned to begin with) feel even more spacious. Conveniences include a cooktop, oven, microwave, Wi-Fi, and washer-dryer, plus a shower with better water pressure than the one we have at home. In the immediate vicinity of the apartment, there are a number of good restaurants, including several (e.g., Septime, Le 6 Paul Bert, and the Bistrot Paul Bert) that the New York Times has recently talked up. If you want to do your own cooking, as we did, you can shop for bread and pastries, cheese, produce, and meat, all within a half-block radius. The subway is just around the corner and the #76 bus (which goes through the Marais to the Louvre) just across the avenue; you can be virtually anywhere you want in central Paris within 20 minutes. A branch of Monoprix, the French superstore that's like an upscale Target (groceries, clothing, beauty products, books, etc.), is a ten-minute walk away. We would stay here again in a flash."
