Live like a real Parisian
"If you want to live like a true Parisian, in a neighborhood that is real and not touristy, this apartment is perfect for two people. On the sixth floor, with elevator, of a remodeled building, on rue de Charonne (see the New York Times article on “Favorite Streets in European Cities”), with all the necessary amenities, a separate kitchen, bedroom, living room, bath, and toilet room, sunny and nicely furnished, we highly recommend the apartment. The owner is extremely pleasant and accommodating, the concierge is on site to answer any questions and the Metro and two bus routes are right around the corner. Being in an area that is not highly touristy definitely gives one the chance to live like a real Parisian and to become familiar with the lesser known 11th Arrondissement. Other than a fine dinner at Bistro Paul Bert, we cooked at home, enjoying the local open markets and shops. We will happily return to this apartment."

"This is a lovely apartment that perfectly matches the photos and information on the website. Jean-Charles is a generous host who provides personal information and a great deal of time helping visitors get acquainted with the area. Our group of four (including a child) was delighted with our stay."

Convenient, comfortable compact apartment for two, near sightseeing
"Entirely satisfactory tiny apartment in very convenient location, just around the corner from metro stop [and just a short walk from Republique] and a wonderful bakery with quiches and sandwiches as well. Double glass keeps the street noise out. Comfortable mattresses. Good bathroom. Kitchen quite adequate for cooking simple meals. Just enough room for 2 travelers and their luggage. Fine for seniors if you can climb the 3 flights of [lovely wooden] stairs. We walked in half an hour from the apartment to Notre Dame. Gare de Lyon is only 15 minutes walk [or take the bus or metro]. Great to have a hostess welcoming you at the apt when you arrive. All easy and no hassle."

"I just returned from staying for a week in this flat. It is exactly as described with all of the amenities one needs in order to have a comfortable accommodation while in Paris. The building is very secure and that was of utmost importance to me as a solo female traveler. I encountered several of the building residents during my stay and all were friendly and helpful... (and I do not speak French). There are 2 METRO stops within easy walking distance which were well connected to other Metro lines. It is not in a tourist area, but rather a true neighborhood atmosphere. Having a well stocked market just around the corner was a plus. The kitchen has ample cooking utensils/dishes and a basic stove top and full size microwave. With free internet and overseas calls, I remained well connected to family at home. Olivier was very easily contacted before my stay and he was quick to respond to any questions that I had prior to my arrival. Although I did not need to contact him during my stay, I am certain that he would have been readily available to assist me. I can highly recommend this studio apartment as an affordable and very comfortable alternative to a hotel."
