  • Convenient and Modern

"We stayed for a month at this well-located apartment. It has excellent access to the Metro and bus lines and is in the hip Oberkampf quartier, full of cafes frequented by young people out having a good time. All machines worked well: Washer & dryer, TV, WIFI, phone, kitchen, and the elevator up to the 6th floor. Comfortable bed in the well-designed bedroom. Views of Paris rooftops are lovely, but there is a lot of street noise, which can be eliminated by closing the windows and turning on the excellent AC. Our only criticism is the choice of the very odd couch in the living room. It's impossible to find a way to sit on it comfortably and the sections slip apart constantly. A very strange piece of furniture. We would love to return."

  • All the conveniences of home

"We stayed in Joan's apartment for 8 nights this fall. We have been renting apartments in Paris for years and found this one to have all the comforts and conveniences of home. Joan has added so many touches not often found in French rentals: gigantic (unusual by French standards) bed with superb mattress, directions re how to use the appliances, electrical adaptors, kitchen with everthing you need (not that I did any cooking, other than heating croissants), restaurant and shopping recommendations that made it easy to negotiate an unfamiliar neighborhood. And the space is HUGE...the most spacious flat that we've rented in Paris!"

  • Betty M.

"My Granddaughter and I needed a safe, affordable and conveniently located apartment to stay in during our first visit to Paris. Jean Charles' apartment was a perfect fit! From the moment we entered this charming apartment and met Jean Charles, we felt that we could relax and enjoy our visit. The information about the city, locations for places to eat and attractions to visit were generously provided by Jean Charles both verbally and in written format (including tips and maps). Who would have thought that you could get services given in 5 star hotels in such an intimate and cozy setting!!! We would definitely re-visit this apartment."

  • Great location! Plenty of room!

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this property! Judith was very attentive to any issues that arose. Location is convenient for all activities. Mono-Prix steps away, a bakery across the street, metro stop across the street, and around the corner. Open air market a few blocks away, and a park two blocks away. This was the perfect place to unwind at the end of the day with plenty of room for the four of us, parents and two adult children. We would definitely stay here again should we make it back to Paris! Thank you so much Sylviane and Judith! We highly recommend your pied a terre!"
