"We recently returned home from a nine night stay in the Medici Apartment. What can I say?? We loved it!
This apartment is cozy, well equipped, well located, well maintained, immaculate, and very, very quiet. The bed is very comfortable, and there is ample storage both in the bedroom and the bathroom, with 2 spacious draweres underneath the sink and a great mirrored medicine cabinet. Thierry provides the basic necessities such as tissue paper, towel paper, and dishwashing pods which makes it unnecessary to go out and purchase these items. This was a great apartment to come home to after a long day of sightseeing and walking, walking, walking.
As to location. Ah, we love to stay in the Marais and this apartment is perfectly situated in this area. For us, it is THE place to be in Paris. If you enjoy shopping you will be very happy. At least 3 grocery stores are within a few minutes walk: Monoprix on Rue St. Antoine and G-20 and an organic store next to each other on Rue St. Gilles. There is an abundance of unique boutiques within easy walking distance. Although we appreciated having a dishwasher in the apartment, there are too many cafes and restaurants to choose from within a very short walking distance, our favorite being Cafe Janou on the corner of Rue Roger Verlomme. You will not go hungry and who wants to cook on a vacation anyway!
For breakfast I stopped at one of at least 2 bakeries, a 2 minute walk, a great way to start the day with coffee, a baguette, and croissants.
There are 3 metro stations within close proximity: St. paul, Chemin Vert, and Bastille. Musee Carnavalet is a few minutes walk away and if you enjoy walking the Pompidou is accesible by foot as well.
Yes, we would definitely stay here again. Thanks, Thierry, for being such a great host."
