"We just finished a 10-night stay at 16 Rue Steinkerque, and have only fine things to say about our experience there. The apt is lovely, well-prepared, well-constructed, very clean, and fully functional. The manager Paula is efficient, thorough, prompt, and she cared that it worked well for us. Full (small) kitchen, lovely bedroom, another sitting room with tv with a well-made (and very comfortable!) pullout leather couch, where our adult son slept, plus there's another more-standard pullout couch in the living room. All rooms are small, airy, enjoyable. There are well-made windows on 3 sides of the apt, making for good airflow. The balcony (snuggly seating 2) is an enjoyable spot to sit in mornings & in the night sky. The elevator holds maybe 3 smallish people with no luggage, or 1 person with 1 large suitcase. Instead of taking elevator, the walk up to the 5th floor is good exercise; the stairs are well constructed, well lit, and clean. The apt is a half-block from Sacre Coeur cathedral, and R. Steinkerque is a major walkway to the cathedral, so of course, there are several tshirt/souvenir shops, etc. along the street below, but from the 5th floor, you can't hear the street noise if the windows are closed; never did we find it noisy. It's very close to 2 metro stops (Anvers and Abbesses), and we found getting around the city on the metro to be very easy. A grocery is available only 1/2 block away, and there are many sidewalk cafes and little shops very close to the Abbesses metro station. In short, we very much enjoyed our time in this apt....and happily recommend it to you!!"
