  • stay at Rue Gabrielle

"My husband and I stayed here from 9/25/14 through 9/28/14, and we enjoyed this apartment/mini-suite. we had a question so I called, and we were assisted immediately. This is not a complaint but an observation only regarding the shower. It can be tricky to get into and out of, but the pictures hide nothing. We would not hesitate to stay here again. wonderful place and great location."

  • Fantastic 10 days in Paris!

"We had 10 days to see as many of the sights in Paris as we could so we wanted a self catering apartment situated in a quite neighborhood to retire to each night. Doing a bit of research on the web we came across this apartment in Montmartre. It was perfect! Our expectations were not only met but exceeded - normally the actual state of the holiday rental does not match the pictures and descriptions on the web page but this apartment is the exception. Another bonus is it's location...with a metro station around the corner one can get to any part of Paris within half and hour maximum. If you need a rest day (from commuting on the metro) then there are a whole host of sights and experiences right there in the Montmartre area to stroll to and enjoy. Ghislaine, the owner of the apartment, was extremely helpful from first communication to the last, answering all my "holiday maker" questions and providing loads of other, useful information. Our booking, payment and confirmation via VRBO was super efficient and contributed to a trouble free vacation. Thanks to all for contributing to our wonderful holiday in Paris! Wayne and Ronelle"

  • We loved it!

"The apartment is small but completely efficient: plenty of room to unpack and store suitcases. The kitchen is as efficient as a sailboat galley. The tall French window in each room brings light and air. Everything is comfortable. My husband and I stayed in Constance and our daughter and her family stayed in Caulaincourt. Also excellent. Below are some of the specific opportunities the apartment has to offer. The neighborhood: some streets are full of people, some nearly empty and clearly residential. It's very picturesque. The shop windows are all appealing, one way or another and every third or fourth shop on Rue des Abesses offers food: pastries, meat, fish, crepes, wonderful bread, chocolate. So where did we eat? We walked up the hill to Coq Rico--excellent! Paula, a totally reliable resource, suggested Bistrot de la Bruyere--another memorable meal Lepic Assiette--the local crepe restaurant--delicious the Italian traiteur on rue Varenne just off rue Lepic made us very happy with a take-home meal Le Roi Something, the chicken rotisserie on rue Lepic at rue Constance--two terrific chicken meals Rose Bakery on rue Des Martyrs--two wonderful lunches A Priori The in the Galerie Vivienne at 6, rue de Petits Champs -- very pleasing lunch in a charming setting Also the cafeteria at the Louvre: entirely adequate The Cafe Campana at the Musee d'Orsay--a very nice quiche. I walked over to 57 Damrement to DelMontel's pastry shop for croissantes and breakfast pastries--worth every bit of the 10 minutes there and 10 minutes back. There are much closer pastry shops, but I had a memory of DelMontel from previous visits. I also visited the cheese shop across the street. The occasional pastry or eaten at a park bench. Paula, always gracious and helpful, had other restaurant recommendations and I wrote them down in hopes of future visits. I'd come back, most definitely!"

"Perfect apartment to come home to after a busy day in Paris. The apartment is well-equipped; there was nothing lacking. It was so nice to have our own place in such a great neighbourhood. It was also a very quiet building. We appreciated the elevator!"
