"We had a wonderful stay for 8 nights arriving on Friday and were able to take advantage of the fresh Farmers market that day open from 3 to 8pm. Apartment has everything you will need with a fully stocked kitchen and comfortable living room with view to the park and can just see the top of the Eiffel Tower. Comfortable quiet bedroom during the evening since it looks out into a open space in the back of the apartment. Ten minute walk to Gare Du Nord or to Sacre Coeur. Do not miss an evening at Sacre Coeur to enjoy the atmosphere during the evening and the great views of Paris. Great bonus if you are there during Mass and hear the beautiful sounds of the church. Barbara is a great host responding to your questions very promptly and providing great arrival instructions as well as numerous suggestions. Do not miss going to Le Pantruche for lunch or dinner, only a few blocks away (need to book 2-3 days in advance). Suggest you pull the drapes closed during the day when visiting and upon return opening the large windows will quickly cool the apartment. No need for air-conditioning. Also, it is a great comfort to have Tom living above you who is your on-site assistance if you need any help since he is British and is fluent in French as well. Anvers Metro stop is only minutes away on the same corner as the Café. Plenty of cafes, shops, vegetable/fruit stores, ATM's within blocks. Excellent Carrefour (groceries) only couple of blocks away. All in all, excellent location for making your way around Paris. Thanks to Barbara and Tom, we had a wonderful stay in Paris!"

"This is the kind of studio that seasoned travelers seek. It is comfortable, well equipped, everything works and has a view that says "Paris." This was our fourth stay in Paris, and this pied-a-terre is our favorite home away from home. The neighborhood is buzzing with activity during the day, with a grocery store two minutes away and a boulangerie nearby that makes the most buttery croissants imaginable. At night, the studio is very quiet for sleeping, and the sofa bed is exceptionally comfortable. The art deco elevator is a total plus, and the ironwork on the building is lovely. Jean Noel Cassan and the staff at In Beau Paris are helpful and prompt. We highly recommend this delightful studio."

We returned the other day from our two week vacation in France. I am rather reluctantly putting your key in the mail today, only because mailing it really truly signals the end of our most wonderful vacation, in large measure due to your great apartment in Paris.
We first spent a week at your apartment in Montmartre, that charming area of Paris with its incredible history, the beautiful Sacré Coeur cathedral, a plethora of cafés and restaurants, oozing Parisian authenticity at every turn. In order to situate ourselves, we took advantage of a couple of guided tours of the area, one we found in the “Pariscope” magazine, another through an English-speaking group we found on the internet. We found them both incredibly helpful in elucidating the history and the excitement of Montmartre and helping us to better make our way around.
Your apartment, while small, was brilliantly laid out and had all the conveniences of home. We were extremely comfortable (loved that bed and the quiet of the courtyard!) and were surprised at the general peace of the whole building. We had great breakfasts every morning (we loved those croissants from the bakery on the rue des Abbesses) and often came home in the evenings with delicacies from the local shops of liver paté, cheese, WINE, and unpronounceable French goodies. We used your microwave quite a bit and kept our goodies in the fridge. We usually had lunch out somewhere as we were exploring the capital. The proximity to the Abbesses metro station was a blessing, and we also tried a couple of the local buses which left from the nearby Place de Pigalle with that weekly metro pass which you suggested we buy.
We truly felt French as we punched in the code in the doorway as if we were natives, and as the tourists stared at us as they went by, we slipped in as if we belonged there. We truly felt we did and your apartment in great measure helped us establish that feeling. We discovered a new word on one of our guided tours: we learned that we were “Montmartrois.” Can’t pronounce it for the likes of me, but loved thinking that I took on that allure.
We went on to Provence after Paris and while we loved the countryside and the Cezanne feeling in the air, we missed the buzz and the excitement of the capital.
Thanks for all your help and guidance, too, as we were sorting through our travel plans. It was terrific dealing with you.
We shall return!!

"This is an amazing apartment and when I remember my stay there I smile. I’ve stayed in several apartments in the Montmartre area over the past few years and even though this one was a bit more expensive, it was very much worth it. The location is literally perfect; almost in the middle of Abbesses and Sacre Coeur. The building that the apartment is situated in is beautiful, clean and feels safe and secure. The apartment itself is very homely and comfortable; the good quality bedding and towels provided is appreciated and the beds (including the living room pull out) are very comfortable. I stayed in April, so I don’t know how hot it would be in the summer (no air con), but there would be good ‘through air’ with the back and front room windows and doors open. In summary, the apartment felt authentic and special. If you want to pretend to live in Montmartre for a while, this is the place to do it."
