  • Comfortable stay

"Very comfortable apartment with great shower. Very convenient location for sightseeing, shopping, eating, etc. I walked everywhere except Versailles. Small size apt with small bed, however good for 2 people. Or more if you don't mind sharing small beds. There is no elevator but short flight of stairs. Very small kitchenette, but fine if you are not planning to do a lot of cooking. Received a welcome bottle of wine. Got my deposit back within 3 days of leaving. Very strong wifi connection without issues. Quiet the entire week, except for a party on saturday night by a neighbor. Vegan market across the street. Other markets close by. Up to date Rick Steve's Paris guides (full and pocket size) very helpful. Reasonable rental rate! Would stay here again."

  • An ideal Paris location

"My wife and I had a wonderful Paris vacation using 8 Rue de Braque as our base. The apartment was perfect, very well located, just a short walk from the heart of Paris and conveniently located to several convenient metro stops. The variety of nearby shops made it easy to grab a morning coffee and croissant (or baguette) to start the day. Having the extra space in the apartment made is much easier to feel at home after long days walking about absorbing the charm of Paris. Having a kitchen was great – we were able to keep “essentials” in the refrigerator so we could relax after long days spent being immersed in the culture of Paris. The Marais district was amazing to explore and was teaming with life – yet the apartment was tucked away on a quiet, secluded street allowing for restful nights."

  • A great discovery for our first overseas rental

"We had chosen this neighborhood based on a friend's recommendation, then narrowed down the properties based on what we wanted for our 5 night stay. First, we needed a queen-size bed. Easy in the States, but in Europe, you will usually find a double. We also wanted a sofa to relax on and read or watch TV. And a kitchen area with some form of table and at least two chairs. This apartment met all our criteria, was in a terrific location and was extremely comfortable. The bed was good; the water pressure in the shower was great; they provided lots of extras, like robes and slippers. Once we figured out how to get the burners on, we did just fine in the kitchen. Less than a block to a metro station and many bakeries and cafes in the neighborhood. Plus, places to buy food for breakfast or dinner or picnic lunches. Really loved the huge sofa, which is also the size of a queen size bed, in the living room. Two people could easily stretch out and snuggle in it. Apartment is on the third floor (American counting), and the steps can be tricky with luggage. Currently, there is no number on the outside of the building, so we ended up trying the security code on two doors before we found the right one. Hopefully, the number will be replaced soon. Easy transaction with the owners; met at the apartment by someone who showed us how things worked and gave us the keys. Plus, the number of someone to call - which we used when we couldn't get the stove top on. Free wi-fi in the apartment.Lots of info in the apartment about Paris, things to do, and how to do them. Heard very little noise from the neighbors. We walked a lot, but it is very convenient for the metro. Would welcome another visit in the future."

  • Ideal peaceful Paris apartment for two people.

"This compact apartment provided a tranquil haven to come back to after a busy day of sightseeing. Close enough to walk to many major sights, such as Notre Dame, also handy for the metro and Gare du Nord if you are arriving by Eurostar. Le Marais is a lovely area with a traditional feeling and some great restaurants and a wide range of shops. Everything you could want is provided in the apartment, washing machine, cooking facilities etc. For two adults it was perfect, though I feel more people would be a tight fit. The space is very well used and does not feel cramped. We experienced very good service throughout the whole process from booking to arrival. We would certainly use Le Beau Marais again if we were staying in Paris."
