  • Loved location

"Stayed for seven nights in this great apartment. Loved the location and the size of the apartment. Full kitchen allowed us to eat in when we wanted as we had a bakery, cafe and grocery stores all within two blocks. David could not have been more accommodating and responsive for any assistance we needed. The apartment is on the third floor but the elevator easily handle two adults and groceries. It is as described."

  • A great discovery for our first overseas rental

"We had chosen this neighborhood based on a friend's recommendation, then narrowed down the properties based on what we wanted for our 5 night stay. First, we needed a queen-size bed. Easy in the States, but in Europe, you will usually find a double. We also wanted a sofa to relax on and read or watch TV. And a kitchen area with some form of table and at least two chairs. This apartment met all our criteria, was in a terrific location and was extremely comfortable. The bed was good; the water pressure in the shower was great; they provided lots of extras, like robes and slippers. Once we figured out how to get the burners on, we did just fine in the kitchen. Less than a block to a metro station and many bakeries and cafes in the neighborhood. Plus, places to buy food for breakfast or dinner or picnic lunches. Really loved the huge sofa, which is also the size of a queen size bed, in the living room. Two people could easily stretch out and snuggle in it. Apartment is on the third floor (American counting), and the steps can be tricky with luggage. Currently, there is no number on the outside of the building, so we ended up trying the security code on two doors before we found the right one. Hopefully, the number will be replaced soon. Easy transaction with the owners; met at the apartment by someone who showed us how things worked and gave us the keys. Plus, the number of someone to call - which we used when we couldn't get the stove top on. Free wi-fi in the apartment.Lots of info in the apartment about Paris, things to do, and how to do them. Heard very little noise from the neighbors. We walked a lot, but it is very convenient for the metro. Would welcome another visit in the future."

  • Ideal peaceful Paris apartment for two people.

"This compact apartment provided a tranquil haven to come back to after a busy day of sightseeing. Close enough to walk to many major sights, such as Notre Dame, also handy for the metro and Gare du Nord if you are arriving by Eurostar. Le Marais is a lovely area with a traditional feeling and some great restaurants and a wide range of shops. Everything you could want is provided in the apartment, washing machine, cooking facilities etc. For two adults it was perfect, though I feel more people would be a tight fit. The space is very well used and does not feel cramped. We experienced very good service throughout the whole process from booking to arrival. We would certainly use Le Beau Marais again if we were staying in Paris."

  • Can't wait to return

"I enjoyed a wonderful 9 night stay with my mum at this apartment. Catherine was a wonderful greeter and made sure we were comfortable and settled on arrival. She was available for any help we needed during our stay too. She was wonderful! The apartment is even better than the photos, it's very well maintained, centrally located tastefully decorated and The Marais is a fantastic base with great restaurants, shops and has a very local feel. This was a real home away from home for us. There is noise from the school in the afternoon, but we were generally out so it didn't bother us. The showers are small but the apartment itself feels very spacious and is really well equipped. Would love to stay here again and would highly recommend it!"
