  • Our second stay at this property

"The location of this apartment is wonderful with just a few steps to reach the Metro, many shops, restaurants and a full grocery just around the corner. The apartment studio itself is very well appointed and perfect for our needs. We particularly like the apartment for its sunny exposure, opening onto the private courtyard, comfortable seating area and convenient location. Thank you to Bettina for being so gracious and accommodating (particularly to our late arrival/early departure). We look forward to staying here again upon our next return to Paris!"

  • An Enjoyable Parisian Stay

"My wife and I stayed at this apartment for 7 nights. We really enjoyed both the property and location. We have been to Paris many times and like staying in places away from the main tourist haunts to enjoy the Parisian lifestyle. Pierre's apartment offered both a very lovely home for a week located in a very enjoyable quartier. Although on the 'edge' of the Marais, we walked everywhere because Paris is a city where walking is so rewarding and the location is, at most, a 20 minute walk to the Seine. There are plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants nearby as well as a couple of supermarkets and boulangeries etc. The apartment is very quiet as it is ensconced at the rear of an oldler building well away from the street but enjoys plenty of light and fresh air from the courtyard. It is very well equipped with all that one needs for a short stay of a week or two. Our only disappointments were as follows: 1) we could not get access to the apartment till after 4 pm (16:00) as the previous occupiers had not left on time and the place wasn't cleaned and ready by the agreed 2 pm check in time. It was a long time to wait from our arrival. 2) when we did finally get access, the previous used but now cleaned linen was still in the washing machine and we were requested by the guardienne to put it away in the cupboard. 3) the bedroom wardrobe was half filled with cleaning materials and other items that took away about 50% of useable space that we could have used 4) two cupboard doors in the kitchen were hanging loose and one actually fell off whilst we were there as it had obviously been left that way for some time. Whilst these were annoying niggly things, our stay was still very comfortable and enjoyable and we would definitely stay again (I think the kitchen cupboards have been repaired now as there are new photos on the web site and they look OK). The apartment was clean and Pierre, the owner, provided clear directions as how to get there and gain access and seemed to be an owner who cared for our comfort."

  • Great location

"Apartment is in a great location. The space is as it appears in photos but a bit worn. Overall, the apt. was fine and served our needs. The living space is spacious, has nice light coming in; the sleeping arrangements were fine for 4 adults, I think it would be tight for 6 adults. Upper bedroom would be good for small adult or child. Bedside lamps in room with twin beds were not working and not fixed or replaced when this was discovered. A number of lights were out; some bulbs were replaced while we were there. Not a big deal, but gives one a sense of things. Basic, serves the purpose, and compared to other places we could find in this neighborhood, it was more affordable. This is my first time renting an apt. in Paris, so unable to compare it. The neighborhood is great as others have mentioned. On a quiet street near more busy, commercial streets. Close to lots of sites; numerous Velib bike stations nearby; easy walk to many places; metro stops nearby. Our stay was a bit soured by repeated warnings prior to our arrival, after contract was signed, about making noise with threat of eviction if there was ANY noise. We had hoped to have a Thanksgiving meal and celebrate my husband's 70th birthday but this was forbidden due to concerns we would be too noisy. I understand the owner's concern but also think that we should be able to do normal things, such as a dinner with family. It was a bit ironic that we were wakened each morning by remodeling noise in neighboring apt. Recommend with reservations."

  • Dehlia

"The rental was great, it was conveniently located to where I am stationed for work while in Paris. All of the amenities I needed were available in the apartment and even when there was a slight issue with the shower in my bathroom Rent My Home in Paris was super responsive and had the issue repaired within the hour. I would recommend staying in this apartment / working with Rent My Home in Paris!"
