  • Excellent flat in a nice Paris neighbourhood

"We had a delightful time in this charming flat. Everything was as Bettina promised and the location is minutes away from transit, bike rentals, bistros and charming little markets. It's a pleasant walk of about 15 minutes to the Seine and close to the Picasso museum. The quartier is quiet (a few party noises on Saturday night and an ebullient daycare/school across the street are al we heard.) One small note of caution: if you are planning on riding the Velib bikes to the centre of town during rush hour traffic, you take your life in your hands!"

  • Exceptional service and location

"The apartment was great for our family and 2 young daughters who enjoyed the space. It is in walking distance from Notre Dame and Centre Pompidou and is situated in a lovely neighborhood. The corner cafe - Cafe Charlot - was exceptional. Louis the property manager was exceptional in helping us prepare for and enjoy a wonderful stay in Paris. We traded numerous emails that he patiently answered regarding planning our trip. Louis arranged transportation, a private tour of Versailles where we cut the long line and bought museum passes for us as well as provided numerous restaurant recommendations. He provided better service than we've experienced from a 5-star hotel concierge. We recommend the apartment and Louis."

  • Great apartment in the Marais

"We stayed in La Tour Des Bourgeois as a family of 5 and loved it. The apartment is as pretty as the photos show it, and the kitchen is fabulous. It was far more space than we'd hoped for in Paris. The location in the Marais is perfect - great neighborhood and just a few minutes walk to the main metro line covering the big tourist spots. Kristian was a great help showing us around the apartment. Our only two cautions for future renters: 1) the awesome location comes with the price of being right on a pretty lively and sometimes noisy street; and 2) the flat is not air conditioned - it was mostly fine for us in mid-June, but I think could be uncomfortable if the temperatures in Paris were 90 degrees F or worse."

  • A great find in the (upper) Marais

"My husband and I just returned from a week long stay at Le Luxe D'Argent. I have traveled to Paris before, but even with that past experience, the slight grungy-ness of the area was a bit startling. Don't be put off by the aging stairwell and dim hallway lighting--to our relief, the apartment was exactly as advertised and comfortable for three adults. The person who designed the interior knew that stashing luggage and toiletries would be key, so it was great to find enough places to put things away to keep from falling over our stuff. Shower had great water pressure and no issues with running out of hot water, and it was terrific to have a washer/dryer in the apartment. And, while it is a bit of a hike up the stairs, we found it manageable. Do avail yourself of the blue binder, as it answered many of our questions from turning on the tv to what kind of soap to add to the washing machine. All beds were very comfortable, which was EXTREMELY good news--no sunken middle or worn out areas. My interactions with Parler Paris and their representatives were all extremely positive and they were quick to respond. The location is not in the heart of the Marais, but is a comfortable walking distance to the shops and restaurants. Very convenient to have a Carrefours and good bakery so close. L'Absinthe Cafe and Pho 3 were both respectable nearby options for dinner when we were too tired to venture out. Ear plugs and an eye mask are good ideas for light sleepers. The majority of the time, the other tenants in the building were very respectful about noise--we tried to oblige by not treading too heavily on the stairs or speaking loudly in the bedroom. However, Paris being what it is, be prepared for some unplanned over-sharing with your neighbors. C'est la vie..."
