"I recently stayed at this lovely flat with my 2 sons (ages 17 and 20), my niece (age 18), and my Mother and Sister In Law. First of all, the location can not be beaten. I have stayed in the Latin Quarter several times and consider it my "home" in Paris. It is a quaint area and it a "real" neighborhood. Home to scholars (the Sorbonne is located nearby) and locals alike. I love it for the outdoor market on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. Fresh meats, vegetables, seafood, bread, fruit and cheeses, as well as crafts. The vendors are very friendly and love to chat! The area has pharmacies, groceries, bakeries and plenty of cafes. That being said, finding this gem of a flat was a stroke of luck! It is in an old building with tons of character (and a tiny elevator!). It is VERY secure (not that I worry too much about security in this area) with a locked front entry and an interior locked gate, as well. The location is directly across the street from Notre Dame. The view at night is absolutely incredible! The Batobus water taxi stop is just across the street and makes 9 hop on hop off stops. The apartment is on the 4th floor and the elevator is tiny (3 people with no bags, tops!), so plan several trips up and down when you arrive, unless you want to carry your bags up. The apartment has exposed beams and a pretty little fireplace. There is a tiny kitchen, but it is well equipped! It has a microwave, stove, oven, tiny fridge and even a small washer and dryer (tiny loads only! It takes FOREVER to dry!). The fridge was great for bringing back treats from the street market and bottled water from the grocery. Had I wanted to cook (and I was sorely tempted!), I would have had everything I needed. There is a minuscule bathroom on the main floor with a small shower, sink, toilet and NO storage. We could't have managed without it! The living room is large and gave us plenty of room to gather in the evenings. The stairwell is VERY narrow (you can't pass another person going up or down!) and spiral. The 3 bedrooms upstairs were fine. The one facing Notre Dame was larger and had plenty of storage, the twin room was quite cramped, but also had plenty of storage. The third was very small with no storage or view. The bathroom was very large with a tub and ample storage. The property manager is lovely and very accommodating. The flat has AC, which was needed as the temps soared to the 90's several days. Will most definitely stay here again!"
