Lovely Apartment in a Great Location
"We had a wonderful stay in this apartment for 10 days and were impressed with its cleanliness, comfort and location. It was equipped with everything we could possibly need or want in a home away from home. We felt safe and secure in the building and surrounding neighborhood. Fran was timely and thorough in communicating with us and provided us with detailed information about the apartment and neighborhood even before we arrived. Thank you, Fran, for everything!"

"Our family of four (2 teenagers + 2 adults) stayed at this apartment for one week in June. We absolutely loved the location and the apartment (very clean). Philipe was waiting at the apartment for us and provided a walk through, then quietly left (after making sure we were comfortable and had his cell number). The beds (we had one of the beds split into two twins for our kids) and other furnishings were comfortable (towels are a bit rough but that's a European thing), the kitchen well stocked (although we didn't cook), wifi worked great, and we had the benefit of air conditioning. The building is very secure and quaint, and the only "noise" from the street was children playing at the school nearby (which was actually quite nice). The apartment is a 1 minute walk to the local square which has multiple cafes, restaurants, grocery store, boutiques, butcher, and a multitude of other food shops. The metro is less than 2 blocks; however, we walked almost everywhere (Luxembourg Gardens, Notre Dame, Louve to name a few spots). This apartment is the perfect place to stay while in Paris - we will definitely stay here again!"

"This is a great place to stay. The hostess is very nice and is easy to communicate with. The apartment is not perfect, but the location makes the minor inconveniences acceptable. Read the previous reviews – they are accurate. Yes, the loft can be a challenge for some both upstairs and down. I’m 5’3” and I could stand straight in both areas. My husband, 6’2”, not so much. But by splitting the high ceilinged living space with the loft, it creates a dining area that is large and spacious with a nearly floor to ceiling double cased window facing the courtyard. Unfortunately, it is not a place for those with mobility difficulties. Not only are there stairs from the front door down to the courtyard, going up to the apartment and up to the loft, but there are actually two steps up and two steps down in the threshold of the doorway between the kitchen/bathroom and the rest of the apartment. Another place to duck. This is a result of smaller apartments being reconfigured from once very large apartments or floors. Not at all unusual in Europe. The kitchen is well equipped with a washing machine (drying rack provided). The bathroom is ultra modern with a tall, glass encased stand up shower with a rain showerhead. But the LOCATION is spectacular. The Cathedral of Notre Dame is literally down and across the street. The apartment is steps from the metro and the RER trains B and C. These will take you anywhere you want to go in Paris. Best of all, just a few yards away from the front door is a small street, almost alley-like (that takes you into colorful Rue De La Huchette and all its cafes and shops), and on the very corner is an ELEVATOR that takes you directly down to the RER B and straight to De Gaulle Airport!"

"We really enjoyed staying in this apartment. Across the street from the Jussieu metro stop, many cafes and little convenience stores nearby. The Jardin des Plantes was an unexpected treasure with many plants still blooming in late September. A short walk to Rue Moueffetard to pick up bread, wine, cheese, pastries, anything you could want for dinner/breakfast in the apt. I did tire of those 53 narrow & steep steps up to the apartment every night after walking all over the city during the day...but I survived! Every thing about Paris involves up and down walking and climbing steps in the metro or parks or neighborhoods so be prepared. I recommend the apartment for it's size and, especially, its location. The only minor negative being those steps...but that is just part of living in Paris."
