  • Nice vacation near Place St. Michel

"We recently spent a week at this apartment and really enjoyed our stay. The location is great - easy walking distance to so much - from shopping and dining in the 5th and 6th, to Notre Dame, the Louvre and the Tuileries. And if the walk is too far, convenient metro and bus stops are very close. As far as space, we had three adults and three children, and though it was cozy, we were comfortable. Plus Jean-Noel and his team were very professional to deal with. The payment and refund process was efficient and clear, and they were responsive when we had questions about the apartment during our stay. This is the second time we've rented from them and would definitely recommend them."

  • Exceptional Find!

"Being a homeowner listed on Home away, I have very high standards in the properties I rent. This property met and even exceeded my expectations! It was lovely, well cared for, and well stocked. The location was perfect! You are just steps away from Notre Dame, a metro station, a cab stand, and every kind of restaurant you could want. I would have been happy just sitting in the lovely little garden, instead of site seeing. You will not be disappointed here, the manager David will help you sort out everything. I highly recommend letting them book your car service, they were excellent. Kp"

  • Truly magnificent!

"We (5 of us) had the pleasure to stay for two weeks in this most remarkable Parisian apartment. We were welcomed by Paul and Sylvie and shown around this 'dream' apartment. It is a grand salon of huge proportions. The main living rooms ooze old world charm and have beautiful moulded ceilings while the bathrooms are very modern. Where else do you get a view of the Eiffel Tower from your bathroom? Each bedroom was spacious and had excellent views of the city. The building has a lift (the apartment is on the sixth and top floor) and while quite small it serves its purpose. There are a couple of shops at ground level including a chemist, a small market and a patisserie and within a couple of minutes walk you will find more shops, bus stops and a RER station. There are open air markets on Saturday, Tuesday and Thursday just around the corner on Rue Port Royal along with many very good restaurants and bistros nearby as well as a short stroll to the beautiful Luxembourg Gardens. This apartment is a home and therefore has all of the conveniences you need to make it an enjoyable Parisian experience. The kitchen had all modern appliances as did the laundry. I highly recommend this apartment to anyone wanting a "special" place to stay in Paris."

  • The soundest sleep you can have in Paris!

"What a delightful, spacious, charming apartment - we fell in love immediately. I particularly loved the timber beams in the ceiling and the curving lines of the staircase. It is very conveniently located between the Seine and the Blvd St Germain, right near a metro and almost opposite Notre Dame, and yet we slept like babies in the quiet bedroom with its very comfortable king mattress and its courtyard view. We felt very safe (key code entry and then two sets of keys to get into the apartment itself), and my husband's knees certainly appreciated the elevator to the 4th floor while my daughter and I raced up and down each day to see if we could beat him. Each morning we bought our croissants and pain au chocolats at the delicious patisserie on the corner, and we shopped at the street market that appeared 3 times a week (Tues, Thurs and Sat) and the convenient supermarkets. We valued the well-stocked compact kitchen for the chance to even eat in for dinner from time to time. Thank you to the delightful woman (shall not be named, per VRBO protocol) who greeted us on arrival and made us comfortable, with clear instructions and handled our occasional calls graciously and promptly -- we couldn't get the key to work in the door to exit (jet lag!!) and had to call, only to discover we were trying to exit the wrong door! She was very patient with us :) The washer-dryer were invaluable and we also appreciated the dishwasher. And the kindness of providing toilet paper, paper towel, laundry soap and cleaning supplies (I even did a small amount of housework as we were there for 13 nights!) My only recommendation to add to the wonderfully detailed instructions would be a clear list of what can and can't be recycled. I am an avid recycler (hate the thought of all those landfills with everlasting plastic bags) and it was never clear to me what I could put in which trash bin ... or even what to do with the glass wine bottles. We thank you for a terrific vacation and would stay at Notre Dame Bievre again in a heartbeat, if we get that lucky again!"
