Well appointed apartment in great location
"As advertised, this apartment is large, bright, clean and well equipped with a wonderful wrap around balcony providing views in every room. Two minute walk to the metro, 10 minutes to St. Germain food market and 20 minutes to the Seine. Other than a number of light bulbs being burnt out, everything worked well. There is street noise as its right on St. Germain but that is hard to avoid in central Paris and is balanced out by the existence of an elevator right to the door. The flat is the only one on the floor so very private. Very comfortable and enjoyable stay."

"Anne's flat was the perfect place for us to begin our European journey in Paris! The location was excellent - Rue de Buci is a bustling street with many cafes, boulangeries and patisseries right downstairs. The street can be a bit loud at night, but we enjoyed the liveliness of this neighborhood. The apartment is comfortable and charming, with many artist touches, including Anne's lovely paintings. Anne met us at the apartment and was very inviting. Thank you for a wonderful stay in Paris!"

"We are a family of 4 that and just recently spent 6 weeks travelling through Europe. We are very particular of where we stay and booked 9 apartments based on reviews and photos. All bookings met, or exceeded our expectations with the exception of this apartment. While it is a decent apartment, unfortunately what disappointed us was the fact that the photos are not a true and recent reflection of the physical condition of the apartment as it is showing its age since the posted pictures were taken.
The main carpet is very stained, the bathroom counter laminate is chipped along the edges and one side of the press board is swelling and peeling due to water. Several of the lamps did not work, a lamp shade was burnt , drywall was cracked and pieces missing in a few areas. Upon arrival one side of the bedroom curtain rod had pulled away from the wall and was hanging; I had to take it down half way through our 1 week stay to ensure someone didn’t get hurt; in fairness to the management company upon notification they did offer to coordinate the repair during our stay. It is probably my fault for not noticing this in the apartment description but the toilet, with no access to a sink, is in a small room in the hallway. As per the photos the main bathroom with a sink and a tub, is on the other side of the main bedroom.
Instructions for all equipment is provided; it would have been helpful to have English instructions for the Oven/Microwave combo (French & German only); we were unable to use it. Not that we had time to watch television, note all channels are in French. Wifi signal is strong. For anyone with any mobility issues, due to the 3 flights of stairs and the height of the tub, this apartment is not recommended.
The apartment is secure and in a lovely part of the 6th close to shops, restaurants & the metro. The property management company is very professional and quick to answer any questions via email. It is a self checkin & check out process; you pick up & drop off the keys at a building 700 meters away via building and lock access codes. We had a car upon arrival & found it straight forward; with luggage and children it is recommended you hire a taxi as it is not close to the metro.
I would give the physical condition of the apartment a "Fair/Average" rating, but because of the excellent location I am giving it a "Good" rating as half way thru our stay we came to terms with the physical condition of the apartment."

Repeat visitors -- love the tapestry and the apartment
"My husband and I returned a few weeks ago from our 7th stay (in the last eight years) in Fabrice's wonderful apartment: we have stayed in four other apartments in Paris (twice in larger places with other people, once elsewhere when this was booked, and once in his other apartment) but keep returning to Fidelio because we love it. Yes, the mattress is very firm but we bring a flat sheet for cover and layer the blanket, duvet, and quilt and we are fine. The bathtub is the perfect size and shape for me and the slope at the back makes it extremely comfortable for a nice relaxing soak! Never had a problem with a lack of hot water. We cook often and the kitchenette is well equipped (like the new microwave!). The washer/dryer is a great help. There are shelves of books -- helpful and interesting. The air conditioner keeps the apartment cool in the summer and the heater keeps it comfortably warm in the winter. Be aware that there are stairs: 45 up to the apartment in addition to the 83 up from the Metro, but that helps balance out all the lovely Parisian pastries! And, yes, there are timed lights on the stairs, one switch is just by the apartment door. We love the area: only a very short walk from the Saint Michel RER station (great if coming from Orly or CDG) and the Metro (if coming from Gare de l'Est). There are numerous restaurants, creperies, and bakeries a short distance away and a Monoprix within easy walking distance. Notre-Dame, St.Severin, and Cluny are all close by. In addition to all of this, Fabrice is very charming and helpful. Need I say that we plan to keep coming back!"
