Ideal location: Experience Paris and feel at home
"Three week stay in this great apartment in Montparnasse. Metro just outside building doorway. Train station in easy walking distance. Apartment was very roomy by European standards and ample space for my husband and I to feel very comfortable. Pictures do not do justice to space and light available. Large tub with great water pressure; separate WC; very comfortable double bed with lots of closet/drawer space; kitchen is stocked for EVERY cooking need except regular oven. Sofa is very comfortable; as described, flat screen TV and working iMAC computer. The washer was great but dryer was challenging (trick is to put clothes on extra spin dry and then use more time than "typical" to fully dry clothing) We hung lots of items and worked fine once I figured it out. The apartment is secured behind coded front door and then again by key access to apartments and elevator; we used stairs often but appreciated elevator immensely at end of long day of touring or after shopping. If you are there for a while, you will discover endless treasures such as Eric Kayser Boulanger/Patissier for best bread we found in 3 weeks, Monoprix for shopping, streetside Henri's Creperie which is a delight and an institution, shopping mall across the street, etc, etc., etc. If you are coming from the USA, the food and restaurant prices will create distinct "sticker shock" so be prepared :-) Our host Bernard Testu was very responsive from the time we started planning our trip 18+ plus ago until even after we returned to the USA. Our only glitch was an issue with the Wi-Fi which was not his fault and for which he pursued a resolution as best he could. In the end, we had access to free Wi-Fi and computer and BBC TV (we watched little TV). To be honest, upon arrival, I did do a good bit of cleaning (toilet, tub, sinks) to bring up to my standards but cleaning supplies were available -- an initial disappointment (I know I am not the first to mention) but do not let it keep you from taking this lease. . The view from apartment is limited but charming: rooftops and sky; our only concern in the morning was construction noise and yapping dog on ground floor in building to right but good windows did close that out pretty well. Apartment is not air-conditioned so a fan or two would be very helpful for warm days. We were blessed with terrific weather in September and so it did get warm in the apartment in the evening. Would stay again absolutely. Contact us for more info :-)"

"My husband (who is French) and I have rented through VRBO several times. Mostly with great success, but especially with this rental directly with the owner. We rented the apartment from the US for one week. Our two granddaughters (9 and 12), my husband and myself were all delighted in different ways by the experience. For me, the kitchen was well equipped. For my husband, good space for multiple purposes. For the girls their own bedroom and WiFi. In addition, my family and I all echo the reviews of the previous guests. The apartment is in a superb location. Everything we needed was close. After busy days seeing the city we could retreat to the apartment in a quiet neighborhood with all the comforts of home. The owner, Anne, is charming, effcient, sensitive to travelers, easy and a pleasure to deal with on line and in person. Waking each morning to the bright sunlight through the French doors after a comfortable night's sleep on excellent beds, we could plan our day - using the number of resources on the bookshelf and with the reliable WiFi. The layout is perfect for two couples or a family. Our granddaugthers first visit to Paris was greatly enhanced by Anne and her home. We will return again. This space is great for a week and even better for longer stay. Highly recommend this apartment."

"I and my two 10 year old granddaughters lived for 8 days in this lovely place- Spacious, Bright,Airy and so wonderfully French. The neighborhood is quite pretty, very safe and nicely located to various spots. Breakfast at Poilane was enjoyed twice when we didn't eat breakfast at home with delicious fruits and pastries from Bon Marche. Dealing with Peter was completely easy and comforting. I knew the flat would be quite nice and it is. I will return here with the next grandchildren when they turn 10 as well and can't wait!

"When planning our first trip to Paris, we were unsure of the best location for our stay. After consulting family, friends, travel books and websites, we decided on this Rue de Seine apartment. We could not have been more pleased, as it is a lovely, comfortable place. The bedrooms are at opposite ends of the sitting room/kitchen area, creating a nice layout for two couples or a small family. Kitchen appliances, cookware, dishes, and utensils are new, handy and plentiful. We were particularly satisfied with the responsive Wi-Fi connection. The small deck overlooking the inner courtyard provides a relaxing setting for the end of day. When drawn, the substantial, room-darkening bedroom drapes allowed for much-needed jet-lag repair (on their comfortable mattress).
The location is hard to beat: the Seine and the Louvre are reachable by a 5-minute walk; Ile de la Cite is only a bit further. Many restaurants and shops are within a few hundred yards and a small market just steps from the front door.
Bringing it all together are the owner and management team. Katy responded to every question quickly and cheerfully. Joseph and Sean met us on the day of our arrival and ensured that we were settled and comfortable. It all added up to a perfect introduction to Paris"
