Large, Quiet Apartment
"First stay in February and we're planning to return in 2016. Amenities: Spacious, convenient to wonderful shopping (e.g., boutiques, bric-a-brac, boulanger. Poste), nearby metro, neighborhood grocery that's stocked with fresh offerings plus the Grand Epicèrie is just down the street located in Bon Marché, washer and dryer within the apt. and a fabulous kitchen with stove/oven, refridge, mictrowave, etc. Eirwen, on site manager, was wonderful in meeting all of our needs on the day we contacted her. Being on the premier étage (one flight walk up) was also a real "find" after renting many 5 - 6th floor walkups! One limitation: la salle de bain avec la toilette - the bathtub/shower, lavatory and toilet occupy the same room and may pose an inconvenience depending on the number of renters."

"This is a fantastic apartment in one of the best neighborhoods in Paris. There were four of us with two boys, 9 and 11. Henri did a great job of coordinating with us ahead of time and arranged to have us met at the apartment. The apartment is spacious (for downtown Paris) with plenty of room for our family. It has a small, well-equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and (tiny) washing machine. There is A/C in the living room that does cool somewhat but we needed to leave windows open on warmer days. The neighborhood is fantastic with many restaurants, bistros, bars, and patisseries but it can be a pricey area. The street is actually very quiet despite how many things are nearby so noise is not a problem. Metro is a short walk and the beautiful Luxembourg Gardens are right next store. One concern that some may have is that the lift only goes to the fourth floor and the apartment is on the fifth, so you need to climb one flight.
All in all, we had a great stay and I would highly recommend it."

"We just finished a wonderful stay at this apartment--two teenage girls and two adults. The apartment set up and location were great. There are many places close by to eat (sit down and take away) and as others have written, Le Bon Marche is a real treat. Plenty of easy access to the Metro. Anne handled everything like a pro, from the initial deposit to the final check out. We really appreciated the extras--Anne arranged a shuttle to and from the airport (great price--you should take advantage of that), bottle of wine in the apartment, coffee and water. The apartment was plenty large enough for the four of us. Thanks for a great week--hope we can get back soon!"

Repeat visitors -- love the tapestry and the apartment
"My husband and I returned a few weeks ago from our 7th stay (in the last eight years) in Fabrice's wonderful apartment: we have stayed in four other apartments in Paris (twice in larger places with other people, once elsewhere when this was booked, and once in his other apartment) but keep returning to Fidelio because we love it. Yes, the mattress is very firm but we bring a flat sheet for cover and layer the blanket, duvet, and quilt and we are fine. The bathtub is the perfect size and shape for me and the slope at the back makes it extremely comfortable for a nice relaxing soak! Never had a problem with a lack of hot water. We cook often and the kitchenette is well equipped (like the new microwave!). The washer/dryer is a great help. There are shelves of books -- helpful and interesting. The air conditioner keeps the apartment cool in the summer and the heater keeps it comfortably warm in the winter. Be aware that there are stairs: 45 up to the apartment in addition to the 83 up from the Metro, but that helps balance out all the lovely Parisian pastries! And, yes, there are timed lights on the stairs, one switch is just by the apartment door. We love the area: only a very short walk from the Saint Michel RER station (great if coming from Orly or CDG) and the Metro (if coming from Gare de l'Est). There are numerous restaurants, creperies, and bakeries a short distance away and a Monoprix within easy walking distance. Notre-Dame, St.Severin, and Cluny are all close by. In addition to all of this, Fabrice is very charming and helpful. Need I say that we plan to keep coming back!"
