Recent Paris Arr. 6 (Latin Quarter, St. Germain) reviews
Cozy apartment, great location!
"One of the saddest days of my life was the day I had to check out of this apartment! I spent over a week in it, and loved every minute. The location is so central that I was able to walk to Notre Dame, the Louvre, Musée Cluny, L’Orangerie, Musée d’Orsay, through the Latin Quarter and the Marais . . . or just hop on a bus or take the Metro from Place St. Michel to go anywhere. The courtyard view from the window inside made it a haven, and the view of the Seine when leaving the building is unbeatable. As a middle-aged woman traveling alone I was concerned about safety; this location is quite safe and I felt very comfortable coming in and out in the dark.
The apartment is in an old building in Paris, so of course it is small! However, great thought has been put into making the most of the space. I loved climbing up to the cozy sleeping loft; if you don’t like heights the sofa bed was quite comfortable as well. The space didn’t feel crowded even when there were 3 of us there. I recommend it for 1-2 people, but if you are out all day and just sleeping there, it can work well for 3 or 4 who don’t need privacy (the sleeping areas are open to each other so one can hear everything anyone else says).
Lastly, InBeauParis was wonderful to work with — the instructions are clear, check-in/out are easy, everything was professional -- which has not always been my experience with rental companies. Thank you for a wonderful vacation!
I am definitely coming back -- 5 stars!!!"

"This is the absolute perfect location in Paris. Central to so many things, and the area right around the apartment is nice to stay in too. So many restaurants and shops. Great value for having an entire apartment. Don't worry about the stairs unless you have major health problems. You really get use to them, and the apartment is so worth it anyways. Good, fast internet wifi. Phillips is so quick in response and easy to work with. We will definitely be back to this property. I could never imagine staying in a hotel in Paris again, not even the fanciest one. I would take this over the, all."

"We are a family of 4 that and just recently spent 6 weeks travelling through Europe. We are very particular of where we stay and booked 9 apartments based on reviews and photos. All bookings met, or exceeded our expectations with the exception of this apartment. While it is a decent apartment, unfortunately what disappointed us was the fact that the photos are not a true and recent reflection of the physical condition of the apartment as it is showing its age since the posted pictures were taken.
The main carpet is very stained, the bathroom counter laminate is chipped along the edges and one side of the press board is swelling and peeling due to water. Several of the lamps did not work, a lamp shade was burnt , drywall was cracked and pieces missing in a few areas. Upon arrival one side of the bedroom curtain rod had pulled away from the wall and was hanging; I had to take it down half way through our 1 week stay to ensure someone didn’t get hurt; in fairness to the management company upon notification they did offer to coordinate the repair during our stay. It is probably my fault for not noticing this in the apartment description but the toilet, with no access to a sink, is in a small room in the hallway. As per the photos the main bathroom with a sink and a tub, is on the other side of the main bedroom.
Instructions for all equipment is provided; it would have been helpful to have English instructions for the Oven/Microwave combo (French & German only); we were unable to use it. Not that we had time to watch television, note all channels are in French. Wifi signal is strong. For anyone with any mobility issues, due to the 3 flights of stairs and the height of the tub, this apartment is not recommended.
The apartment is secure and in a lovely part of the 6th close to shops, restaurants & the metro. The property management company is very professional and quick to answer any questions via email. It is a self checkin & check out process; you pick up & drop off the keys at a building 700 meters away via building and lock access codes. We had a car upon arrival & found it straight forward; with luggage and children it is recommended you hire a taxi as it is not close to the metro.
I would give the physical condition of the apartment a "Fair/Average" rating, but because of the excellent location I am giving it a "Good" rating as half way thru our stay we came to terms with the physical condition of the apartment."

"Our fourth visit, so we're biased. It's still clean, comfortable and quiet (although not as quiet – a little "neighbour noise" – as during the French summer holidays when we've visited previously). All email booking dialogue and the meeting with the agent at the apartment the day we arrived worked very efficiently. And it's still just as close to the Luxembourg Gardens, Bon Marché and the métro."
