  • Fun location!

"This apartment is located in an ideal location, just steps from all of the happenings, but at the same time tucked away on a small street and facing a courtyard, and therefore is quiet. Within a short walk are located several historic places such as Café de Flore and Les Deux Magots, Brasserie Lipp, and Place St. Germain des Prés. Plenty of shops and good restaurants are nearby and there's also a great weekly (organic) market on Blvd Raspail that takes place on Sunday mornings. Métro line 4 is literally just around the corner and line 10 is just a little further down the block- both convenient to access anywhere you want to go in the city. Rue St. André des Arts, Place St. Sulpice, and Luxembourg Garden are also within an easy walk and are not to be missed! And the Seine is just within a few minutes walk as well. The home was furnished with everything that I needed including a kitchen, coffee maker, adapters, hair dryer, washing machine, telephone, and good wifi connection. Communication with Xavier, the owner was prompt and he was very attentive to any needs or concerns. At times, maybe a little overly hands-on, as he liked to spontaneously drop by at least once a week to check if everything was okay. So there was a little lack of privacy in that regard since you always had to be sure and be presentable (dressed) in case he dropped in. Otherwise, it was a comfortable stay. Great location!"

  • Location Location Location and so much more!!!

"This apartment is in the perfect location! Rue de Buci is a bustling, happening street in the heart of Saint Germain Des Pres with outdoor cafes, bakeries, coffee shops, a grocery store and pharmacy, all within a block. 10 - 15 minute walk to many major attractions including the Louvre, Orsay Museum, Notre Dame, Sainte Chapelle, and the St Michel RER station to catch the C train directly to Versailles! There is more than enough closet and drawer space to unpack all your belongings and even store your luggage out of sight so it really feels like home. 24 quality hangers to accommodate tops and/or slacks. Plenty of counter space in the living area to spread out your maps, papers, etc., in addition to bar in the kitchen to sit down and relax for a meal. Ample counter space in the bathroom to store your toiletries. Large windows on both sides of apartment for wonderful cross-ventilation. The apartment was spotless and most essentials were provided - paper towels, toilet paper, kleenex, etc. Towels were provided but I forgot that Europeans consider wash cloths personal items and do not provide them so recommend you bring your own as well as your own bath soap. We were greeted upon arrival with a lovely bottle of French wine from Federico, such a pleasant surprise! I agree with previous reviewer that Paul's Bakery is not very good. We prefer Carton's on Rue de Buci just before it becomes Saint Andre Des Arts. Had dinner at Chez Fernand located at 9 Rue Christine and Le Bistrot d'Henri located at 16 Rue Princesse and enjoyed both enough to return for a second time (both recommended by previous reviewer). Loved the scallops with pasta and pesto on main menu at Le Bistrot d'Henri and sea bass on specials menu at Chez Fernand. Also enjoyed tasting menu at Kitchen Galerie Bis located at 25 rue de Grand Augustines but be aware that it is more pricey. All three within 4 minutes walking distance from apartment. So relaxing after a busy day! Recommend reservations at all 3. The only drawback with this apartment was the small shower but having traveled in Europe before I can tell you that this is to be expected in this price range. Overall this is a great apartment in a perfect location - a fantastic value for the money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

  • A wonderful historic Parisian apartment in a remarkable position

"We rented this apartment over Christmas and New Year period 2014/5 for a wonderful family holiday in Paris. The position is fabulously close to the Seine and within 5 minutes walk of Metro, a brilliant St Germain food market and dining/shopping area and top sites like Pont Neuf and Notre Dame. Importantly the apartment is safe and secure and whisper quiet at all times. The building itself is an historic mansion (seventeenth century) with courtyard and the apartment fully equipped, homely, clean and very comfortable. Delphine, the host, is friendly, warm and helpful. We have no hesitation in recommending this apartment, remembering that due to the building's age there is no lift - so important that all occupants are comfortable using the stairs (up 3 stories). It was our privilege to stay here and we leave with beautiful memories. Merci"

  • Ideal stay

"My previous trips to Paris have always been nonstop days of running about soaking in the city. With this lovely apartment we were able to throw open the many windows and let the sites and sounds come to us. Our family of six had plenty of room in the comfortable living room and kitchen as well as privacy in the three bedrooms spread in different corners of the large space. This property far surpassed my expectations and I have already recommened it to friends and family. There is no doubt I will return. The price was worth every penny. Some reviews criticized the air conditioning, but on hot days we found the portable AC units more than adequate."
