First time in Paris
We loved the apartment, the location and your hospitality. I’d like to have stayed a month. You can’t see a whole lot in a few days. Maybe someday, my wife and I will be back. I’ll be retiring very soon, so who knows, maybe we’ll be back next year.
Merci beaucoup, Philip B"

"What could be better than having a personal tour of the surrounding neighborhood upon arrival, complete with restaurant recommendations?!? Chris was a pleasure to interact with, from inquiry through arrival/departure. We enjoyed meeting and getting to know him; and he gave us a walking tour of the immediate neighborhood upon our arrival.
The Boulangerie Room is located on a quiet street in a lovely local neighborhood--ideal for those who wish to be a pleasant walk from the Eiffel Tour, yet away from the crowds. We had dinner at a different nearby restaurant each night of our stay, all of which were within a 5-10 minute walk. Transportation to and from the apartment (arriving from Versailles via RER train and Metro, and departing to CDG airport via the same) was easy, with the Boucicaut station right around the corner.
The bed was very comfortable and kitchen was adequate for light meal preparation, though the nearby restaurants were so good that we ended up eating all of our meals out anyway!
Thank you for your excellent hospitality, Chris, and we hope to return to Boulanger Room on a future trip to Paris."

great choice for feeling like a Parisian for a few days
"Having been to Paris a few times, we wanted to stay in a quiet residential neighbourhood and feel like a local so decided to rent this place. The apartment is in a very nice and safe neighbourhood with plenty of choices for shopping all sorts of things (from clothing to food to flowers to specialty items). If you are on a culinary mission, this is the place to be to shop like a local from the many stores nearby (from caviar to cheese to pastries, etc..). There are also many cafes and restaurants to choose from. It is a decent walking distance to many of the major sights (20-30 minutes) and a 5-7 minutes to the metro or bus station.
The apartment is a good size for Paris standards and well maintained. Xavier was very responsive to emails. He was there to welcome us and show us the apartment and came early on Saturday to get the keys as we were leaving on an early morning flight which we appreciated.
The street can be busy and noisy especially on Friday and Saturday evenings with many out on the street until the wee hours singing after having many drinks but I guess this is the case for most streets in Paris.
I also would have preferred not to worry about the housekeeping before leaving (such as emptying the garbage, taking the bed linen out, sweeping the floors) as this is what I would expect to be covered in the cleaning fee. One less thing to worry about when you pack.
Despite all that, I would consider renting the apartment again on my next visit to Paris.
What I liked about the apartment:
- nice neighbourhood
- decent space (for Paris standards)
- quiet building
- local calls available from the home phone
- safe to keep your valuables (although as I said it is a very safe area)
What can be improved:
- internet connection (was sketchy at times)
- cleaning requirements at departure"

"We spent 3 nights at this apartment with a family with 2 teenagers. We really enjoyed its great location and comfortable setting. Seeing the Eiffel tower from the window was great, and we even spied the Statue of Liberty on the island in the other direction. Marie was wonderful to work with and we used the suggested driver to transport us to and from the airport which was so convenient and economical for a family of 4. The kitchen was perfect for fixing small meals and we appreciated that there was some things there for use to use (salt, pepper mustard, tea, etc.). The kids appreciated the wi-fi which worked great. I have a long list of things still to see in Paris so I am sure we will be back."
