"Wonderful accommodations, and super professional landlord to smooth the way for a great stay. The apartment was perfect for us, a couple with two college-aged daughters. Having two places to shower, and two toilets made all the difference when getting ready in the morning. The kitchen with table space meant we could set out breakfast, help ourselves, and take turns getting ready and munching on delicious breakfasts. The bedrooms are off the main foyer/ hall, close but separate. The apartment was very clean, well maintained, and just as described. The landlord responded promptly to all our inquiries, and made the check in and check out easy and speedy. The beds, sheets, towels were clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. I appreciated having a good freezer, to make ice for my beverages. The washer was very handy, and our clothes dried quickly on the provided clothesline which can be pulled out over the tub. The apartment has lots of storage, so we were able to keep things tidy and didn't feel like we were living out of a suitcase. Noise was not a problem. There is one apartment on each floor. We only heard some walking above a few mornings. The beautiful wood floors do creak, but that is part of the charm and in no way detracted from our experience there. The many windows can be opened without sacrificing privacy noise. The cable channels were many, about 4-5 in English for news, was more than sufficient for staying abreast of what was going on and the weather. The wifi was perfect, we has several devices going a once, uploading photos, messaging, doing internet searches and even skyping. The building has a reliable albeit tiny elevator. It handled our luggage upon arrival and departure, and we rode up two at a time otherwise. The location of the building is outstanding. The subway Metro station is across the street and one building away. The wonderful boulangerie, Julian, is on the other side of the street. One of us would get a baguette, croissants, and some goodies every morning. One day I counted 105 paces, just across the intersection! Bliss! Next door is a full pharmacy, and if you must, a Starbucks. Walking the other direction, is a very good size market, and another block further is a Monoprix, full size grocery store, and it's counterpart department store (think target) on the corner of the Champs-Elysses. Next door is a 4 star hotel, and they were helpful in calling a taxi for us on the day of our departure."
