Lovely top-floor, top-quality apartment in a quiet Parisian neighborhood
"I, a man traveling alone, stayed in this apartment for two weeks and was absolutely thrilled with it. Because it is the home of a professional French couple who live here half the year, it is fully equipped and wonderfully maintained. There is even a maid who comes in for several hours every Monday afternoon. The property is managed by the owners' son. He met me at the flat on the morning of my arrival and walked me through all of the operating details I would need to know, and was available by phone or email should any issues arise (they didn't).
As you will find in the property description, it is a two bedroom flat (the smaller of which has a desktop computer and printer) on the top (16th) floor of a modern building with two elevators. It has magnificent views, a lovely terrace for enjoying your morning café and croissant, a fully equipped kitchen (including a washer/dryer combo), queen bed in the master, a bathroom with tub and shower, and separate WC. Both the building and the apartment are very secure. There is plenty of closet space. Also included are a new flat-panel HD TV with cable service, high-speed Wi-Fi, and land-line telephone with unlimited free calls to the USA (and possibly elsewhere).
Outside of the flat itself, you will find an enormous supermarket in the lobby (along with a pharmacy) which makes shopping ridiculously easy. Leave the building and you are steps away from a boulangerie/patisserie, butcher shop, dry cleaner, several banks with ATMs, and numerous restaurants and other commercial establishments. A 5-minute walk will take you to the Lourmel Métro station from which you can travel virtually everywhere in Paris and beyond. There are also several bus lines serving the neighborhood.
I fully intend to stay here again and recommend it highly."

"I'll mention the location first, since I think this may be the best location in Paris. Just a couple of blocks to Île de la Cité and Notre Dame, and another block's walk onto Île Saint-Louis. In the neighborhood around the apartment we found it an easy walk for groceries, wine and beer, the post office, and lots and lots of great restaurants and bars.
The apartment itself is as others have described. Clean, nicely decorated, and as roomy as you would expect for an old building in this location. Our group of 4 Americans used the 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms and almost every feature of the apartment.
The induction cooktop in the kitchen was easy to use, and a real pleasure with instant on/instant off heat. We had a hard time, however, using the combo microwave/convection oven. We never got the microwave to work, and only got the convection oven to come on after about 50 presses of the power button. The apartment has both a pod coffee maker and a drip coffee maker and we enjoyed those very much.
The 3rd bedroom is indeed just a small closet with a bed taking 95% of the floor space, but since you're only in there to sleep, the size isn't really a problem. It does have a window.
It's a bit of a climb up to the apartment from ground level, but if you're in decent physical shape it's not a problem at all. The self-check-in/check-out is nice, and if you carefully follow the instructions they send you, you won't have any problem getting in.
We needed to turn the heat on one of our days there (early May) and it worked fine. The apartment has lots of windows that open, so ventilation is not a problem. We had a wonderful stay in the apartment and would gladly stay there again!"

Spacious top floor apartment with Eiffel Tower view
"My husband and I just spent 10 days in this wonderful, bright, edge of the Marais apartment. With 2 bedrooms and a sleep couch in the living room, it could sleep 6 easily, but we found it to be the perfect romantic getaway for a couple. It was spotlessly clean with comfortable beds and good bathrooms and kitchen. We loved sitting in the dining area having our breakfast looking out over the quai (there's a lovely patisserie one block away), and watching the Eiffel Tower light up and sparkle in the evening. It was a great location for us, one block to the metro and walking distance to the heart of the Marais and Bastille. We very much appreciated Catherine's kind assistance. She lives in the building and was always accessible and responsive whenever we needed something. Upon our arrival, she did a walk through of the apartment and provided good information about restaurants, sightseeing and the way to the nearby grocery. The apartment also has free local and long distance phone service and free wifi. The building itself is charming and provides excellent security as well as the much appreciated elevator. We highly recommended this apartment and would return in a heartbeat."

"What a gift: We had the luxury of spending a little more than two weeks in this lovely apartment in the Marais, soaking up all that the city and this wonderful neighborhood offered. While the building itself is very charming, it's the location that is truly unbeatable. It's steps from great food and drinks, shopping, sights, a Metro stop, and, if you pack like we do, a laundromat. It's minutes on foot from the Seine and Notre-Dame. No matter what you want to see or do in Paris, this apartment makes it easy. And if you want to stay in, the fully equipped kitchenette makes that possible, too.
The owners, Don and Leila, bent over backwards to help make our stay a total, memorable success. All of their advice and recommendations were spot-on and made our trip that much more enjoyable.
We kept souvenirs from the neighborhood cafés, bars, patisseries, and produce stands we frequented; we're still using up the toiletries and (many) jars of Nutella we bought at the Monoprix right across the street. They're reminders of how very welcoming and exciting this stay was. Two thumbs up!"
