  • We loved this apartment!

"The apartment was lovely! It is perfect for 2 people, with a luxurious kingsize bed (almost unheard of in Paris!) a modern shower and a tiny but very functional kitchen. The location is ideal and the restaurant just across the street is excellent!"

  • Great Convenient Latin Quarter Location; Comfy for Single or Couple

"After finding your way up to the 6th floor on a tiny but very serviceable elevator, you will find yourself at a great little Parisian apartment. Convenient location, Metro nearby, several bus lines through neighborhood (buses are a great way to get around and see Paris at the same time; buy carnet of tickets for both Metro and buses at any Metro station). Shops, cafes, pharmacy, boutiques, and small groceries right at the door. Entrance to Jardin des Plantes can be seen from window. Street busy, but quiet at night. Everything neat and clean, with unique, very comfy bed arrangement (don't miss the step-stool in the closet if needed). Kitchen has the necessaries for dining in, but maybe not for cooking a full meal (you'll find more than enough to bring in). Loved the washer for small loads, with fold down rack to hang wet clothes. Portable heater handy if help needed to dry clothes, and AC available if Paris is overly warm. Perfect for a single or a couple, and after busy day in Paris, great little place to come back to and put your feet up. Much reading material on the shelf. Best tip: Don't miss walking a couple of blocks west to rue Mouffetard, which is one of the best "foodie" streets in Paris (other than rue Montorgueil on the RB). Weekends you may find a vibrant street/brocante market going on; Sunday morning dancing with live music (tango, waltz, etc.) at the lower end of Mouffetard (everyone welcome to join in); and the street is lined with great cafes to dine or shops with everything from freshly roasting chicken still on the rack and roasted potatoes to Asian delicacies to bring home. The House of Tarts packs a lot of good food in a tiny little place--the very best veggie tarts as well as a fine lemon tart for dessert. At the top of "Mouff" is a gelato shop that serve up a delicious caramel with sea salt gelato; should have gone back for more. My experience with SuperShuttle from city to CDG was very good, but be sure to reserve ahead, on line. Lastly, the apartment owner is very friendly and very helpful and speaks very good English. Merci beaucoup again, V----, for coming to my rescue during the unexpected emergency."

  • Wonderful Time in Paris

"Great location within 10-15 minutes from the Eiffel Tower, and very close to subway / bus. Rue Saint Dominique had wonderful stores and restaurants. The property is well-maintained, safe, was accurately described and the both the owner and onsite manager were very easy to deal with. Renting the apartment was a much nicer option vs. two hotel rooms, given all the benefits of a full kitchen, washer and dryer and an opportunity to experience the neighborhood like a Parisian for a few days. Value wise, this also came in at a lower cost. My family of 6 had a great time in Paris, and would love to come back someday. Merci!"

  • Oh la la

"We had a comfortable two weeks in this apartment across March/April 2014, and are happy to recommend it. The location is excellent; on the border of the 1st and 2nd arrondissements (just in the 2nd arrondissement), and a block away, literally a moments walk to Montorgueil one of the foody streets where there are supermarkets, butchers, bakers, fish mongers and of course, yummy pastries, and lots of cafes to sit at and pretend to be Parisians. There are several metro stations in easy walk, and The Louvre is a few blocks walk away. It was quite special to walk to and from through The Louvre courtyard. The apartment is clean, neat, tidy, comfy beds with good linen and towels. The apartment is two bedrooms; the main bedroom has a queen size bed with an ensuite bathroom (ensuite has a toilet, vanity and a shower) ... this room also has good wardrobe space to unpack, and a tv. The second bedroom has two single beds and a half ensuite bathroom (that is, this bathroom has a vanity and a shower, but no toilet). This bathroom also has the front loading clothes washing/drying machine. There is also a clothes rack available to hang clothes on to dry. There is a separate toilet just off the front door as you enter the apartment. Both bathrooms have heated towel rails. The combined kitchen, living, dining room is an okay size. The kitchen area is compact yet has everything needed to cook a meal (note there is no oven). The fridge can easily fit multiple litres of milk, cheese, vegetables, orange juice, wine etc, efficient two ring induction cook top, one sink, and a small dishwasher (which we didn't use). There is a wall mounted tv with cable, but out of the long list of stations available we could not find one (other than the news and music channels) that were in English. The free wifi is great. Good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Apartment is centrally heated, with provision for air con in the summer. We found the building very quiet and other residents were happy to say Bonjour on the stairs. There is no lift, apartment is upstairs on the first floor. The apartment faces the central courtyard of the building (that is, there is no street view which is why the building is so quiet, made for a good nights sleep). Depending on number of travellers ...... if two people are using the second bedroom to sleep there is no where in this bedroom to unpack (no shelves, or hanging space). We only used one bed in this room so were able to unpack and"
