  • Idyllic base for exploring Paris

"The perfect apartment for a Parisian sojourn. The building is beautiful, with a spectacular view of the Tour Eiffel and the Champ de Mars, conveniently close to the Seine, public transportation, several excellent museums, and shops. The well-travelled owner has created a space that is both elegant and comfortable, and her thoughtful touches extend throughout the apartment. While it may be tempting to sit in the lovely living room enjoying a glass of champagne and gazing at the view, don't forget to spend some time exploring the neighborhood. I'd recommend a leisurely walk along the quais of the Seine, which have been recently redesigned for pedestrians."

  • Decent Apartment in Good Neighborhood

"We recently traveled to Paris for our wedding and chose to stay at an apartment rather than a hotel for space. This apartment was a good comfortable size for 2 people (and has a loft with another bed). The kitchen is not large, but a great size for Paris and big enough to prepare meals if you would like. The bathroom is an excellent size with a large shower (there is no tub, so if that's important to you--this is not the right place). Plenty of hot water--once you figure out how to use the hot water heater--ask them to show you instead of relying on the instruction book. While the apartment was clean, note that the furniture is a bit older and has slight stains--not as elegant as the pictures. And, the sofa is not full size--it's a love seat (which I personally think they should put a full size b/c it would fit in the living room). There is laundry in the unit but it is a shared washer/dryer which was very hard to figure out--the instructions in the book were for a different machine (again, ask them to show you how to use). It took us nearly 5 hours to do one load of laundry--I would suggest taking it all to a laundromat instead. The bed was pretty comfortable--couldn't complain and I'm super picky! The location is excellent--really easy to access the metro, walk to the seine & the eiffel tower. There is a pretty good restaurant on the bottom floor of the building. It was not loud at all except for one night when someone must have been having a party at the restaurant, otherwise, never noticed it. Also, the next door neighbor is wonderful--very lovely & helpful. Another thing to note, is the building is very old and needs some updating--this didn't bother me, but for some it may (hallway/front door need some attention). The elevator is also very tiny, BUT I was able to fit in it wearing a very large wedding dress, so I was happy. I would say 2 people can squeeze in without luggage, one person with a piece of luggage. All in all it was a good apartment, but a tad expensive for what we got in my opinion."

  • Perfect Apartment in a great location

"My daughter and I thoroughly loved the Coustou apartment in Montmartre! It was a perfect location in a charming district. It was perfect because it wasn’t on the really busy street yet just a half an alley away from the main shopping area with food and restaurants. There is a grocery store, fruit stands, frommagerie, fish stand, patiseries and creperies all along the main street. The apartment itself was charming, well appointed and comfortable. The beds were comfortable and the bed linens were nice as well. We appreciated the updated décor and bathroom and kitchen upgrades. We really had a nice time relaxing in the apartment after a long day of sightseeing—it couldn’t have been more perfect!"

  • Thank you for a Lovely Stay

"The Turenne apartment exceeded our expectations. The pull out sofa beds were very comfortable, which normally is not the case. There were 6 of us and for a small apartment, we had plenty of privacy. The location was amazing. We loved our little neighborhood. Cafe's and shopping superb. Metro, bakery and market were close by. Everyone was friendly. One negative - Don't use the washer/dryer. The dryer does not work. Wash clothes by hand and hang dry. We arranged drivers through HomeAway. They were efficient and so nice. Upon arrival, we were met by a lovely young man, whose name escapes me, and he gave us a full explanation of the apartment and the neighborhood. Should we get back to Paris, we would stay in this same apartment again. It really was that great. This was a trip of a lifetime and we thank you for a lovely stay."
