  • Truly magnificent!

"We (5 of us) had the pleasure to stay for two weeks in this most remarkable Parisian apartment. We were welcomed by Paul and Sylvie and shown around this 'dream' apartment. It is a grand salon of huge proportions. The main living rooms ooze old world charm and have beautiful moulded ceilings while the bathrooms are very modern. Where else do you get a view of the Eiffel Tower from your bathroom? Each bedroom was spacious and had excellent views of the city. The building has a lift (the apartment is on the sixth and top floor) and while quite small it serves its purpose. There are a couple of shops at ground level including a chemist, a small market and a patisserie and within a couple of minutes walk you will find more shops, bus stops and a RER station. There are open air markets on Saturday, Tuesday and Thursday just around the corner on Rue Port Royal along with many very good restaurants and bistros nearby as well as a short stroll to the beautiful Luxembourg Gardens. This apartment is a home and therefore has all of the conveniences you need to make it an enjoyable Parisian experience. The kitchen had all modern appliances as did the laundry. I highly recommend this apartment to anyone wanting a "special" place to stay in Paris."

  • Right in the heart of it all.

"This apartment was right in the middle of a residential/shopping area literally 2 blocks from the Chatalet/Les Halles Metro station. These stations have EVERY line run through them making them a hub for getting to and from anywhere in Paris a breeze. This includes the RER B line which runs from Orly or CDG right into the heart of Paris with no train change! There are 2 grocery stores around the corner (Carrefour and Monop), which is very convenient (note: alcohol is not sold after 9PM...plan accordingly). The apartment gets a lot of noise from the boisterous revelers in the bars and night clubs that are in the immediate streets surrounding the apartment, particularly when they let out at closing time. Bring ear plugs if this bothers you. The property was clean and well maintained (albeit in a gentle state of gentle use) and provides wifi. Sheets/pillows/towels all provided and of good quality. The property manager (Jean-Noel) was available by email and responded quickly to queries (remember the time difference 9 hours ahead from PST; 6 from EST). The lease signing and paypal payment went well. We sent photos of our passports as jpegs...went fine. Anticipating the return of my security deposit (also via paypal). The check in is at 2PM. The only snafu we ran into is that I received an email (during my transatlantic flight) telling me that I could check in at 10 A; did not get that until I checked my email IN the apartment but the manager came straight away after we called and he let us in at the appointed check in time (230p). I will warn that the water pressure is not very good. Showers had to be taken one at a time (in the different bathrooms). One of the WC is in the kitchen (!), which seems odd but maybe its location has more to do with the plumbing than anything else. Washer (no dryer but a fan and a drying rack), dishwasher (used it as drying rack), oven and stove, microwave, fridge/freezer lots of basic kitchen battery. 3 different coffee makers (plunge, drip, nespresso style...did not work) and a hot water kettle. Lots of serving platters, china, glasses, cutlery etc. It would be helpful to know when garbage day is so that we could take it out. My companions and I really enjoyed the apartment apart from the water pressure (which we now laugh about). I would definitely keep this apartment of my list of potentials (I have rented one other apartment in St Germain which did NOT have this level of Metro service)."

  • Perfect Place in Paris

"My family stayed here for 5 nights and absolutely LOVED it! The apartment was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. Our concierge was available from the moment we booked our trip through the day we checked out. We loved the neighborhood and location which was an easy walk to restaurants and shops. We can't wait to come back for another stay."

  • Thank you for a Lovely Stay

"The Turenne apartment exceeded our expectations. The pull out sofa beds were very comfortable, which normally is not the case. There were 6 of us and for a small apartment, we had plenty of privacy. The location was amazing. We loved our little neighborhood. Cafe's and shopping superb. Metro, bakery and market were close by. Everyone was friendly. One negative - Don't use the washer/dryer. The dryer does not work. Wash clothes by hand and hang dry. We arranged drivers through HomeAway. They were efficient and so nice. Upon arrival, we were met by a lovely young man, whose name escapes me, and he gave us a full explanation of the apartment and the neighborhood. Should we get back to Paris, we would stay in this same apartment again. It really was that great. This was a trip of a lifetime and we thank you for a lovely stay."
