  • Excellent option in the 7th

"Comfortable, quiet and modern apartment in a small street in the 7th arrondissement. Everything worked properly: hot water, wifi, TV with CNN and BBC, and even a phone that makes free calls to land lines abroad. Clean residential building with 2 working elevators and concierge. Two supermarkets around the corner; 4 outstanding boulangeries less than 2 blocks away; and more gourmet and wine shops than you could handle if you stayed for a year. Bus and metro stops nearby. This is a great base to enjoy Paris."

  • Great place!

"This was my third time in Paris. Stayed at the apartment for an amazing 10 days with my 18 year old daughter. In reality apartment even better than it looks on pictures - very spacious for Paris, spotless clean, comfortable, with well equipped kitchen. Does not feel like a rental place. Feels like someone invited you to their home that was created with love and passion. Great location to feel the city and its people, not touristy at all. We stayed quite a bit in the area and enjoyed morning croissants from Eric Kayser, Maison Aveline, and Boulanger bakeries; rotisserie chicken and variety of pates from Juignet Patrik boucherie. Cafe de Commerce is a great place for people watching. Love Rue de Commerce boutiques, I have found a few new favourite French brands. Very friendly and helpful owner, a pleasure to deal with! Look forward to staying again on my next trip to Paris and will definitely be recommending to friends."

  • Repeat visitors -- love the tapestry and the apartment

"My husband and I returned a few weeks ago from our 7th stay (in the last eight years) in Fabrice's wonderful apartment: we have stayed in four other apartments in Paris (twice in larger places with other people, once elsewhere when this was booked, and once in his other apartment) but keep returning to Fidelio because we love it. Yes, the mattress is very firm but we bring a flat sheet for cover and layer the blanket, duvet, and quilt and we are fine. The bathtub is the perfect size and shape for me and the slope at the back makes it extremely comfortable for a nice relaxing soak! Never had a problem with a lack of hot water. We cook often and the kitchenette is well equipped (like the new microwave!). The washer/dryer is a great help. There are shelves of books -- helpful and interesting. The air conditioner keeps the apartment cool in the summer and the heater keeps it comfortably warm in the winter. Be aware that there are stairs: 45 up to the apartment in addition to the 83 up from the Metro, but that helps balance out all the lovely Parisian pastries! And, yes, there are timed lights on the stairs, one switch is just by the apartment door. We love the area: only a very short walk from the Saint Michel RER station (great if coming from Orly or CDG) and the Metro (if coming from Gare de l'Est). There are numerous restaurants, creperies, and bakeries a short distance away and a Monoprix within easy walking distance. Notre-Dame, St.Severin, and Cluny are all close by. In addition to all of this, Fabrice is very charming and helpful. Need I say that we plan to keep coming back!"

  • Great location and just the right size

"My husband and I chose this VRBO rental due to the location and the amenities. We were traveling without a car and planned to use the metro or walk everywhere. We wanted to be close to the metro as well as walking distance to restaurants, bistro's and shops. We were an 800 meter walk to the metro and the Notre Dame Cathedral. The Latin Quarter and Rue Mouffetard markets were both in walking distance. There were also a couple of small grocery stores and a boulangerie, fromagerie and wine shop within walking distance. We stopped at those several times during our stay to pick up items. We were also looking for a place we could return to after a busy morning and afternoon of sightseeing and prepare a light snack and enjoy a glass of wine before venturing out for our evening activities. The studio provided a couch, table and small kitchen that allowed us to feel more relaxed and gave us a place to retreat to after hours of sightseeing. The bed was also quite comfortable. The other notable part is that this is a ground floor rental, for those who may have issues with stairs, this would be ideal for you. Eric is a lovely host and provided all the essentials and then allowed us to enjoy the property. We would stay here again and we would recommend this place to others."
