  • Very nice spacious loft in beautiful setting

"We stayed at this nice loft for two weeks and really enjoyed it. Sommieres is a lovely town in Midi and so is this appartment offering a lot of space in a truly authentic atmosphere for a large family like us. Would definitely consider to come back and we keep this vacation in very good memory."

  • Quaint apartment in convenient location

"Our hostess was very charming and helpful. We stayed in the Syrah apartment which was spacious and reasonably priced. We enjoyed sitting out in the garden enjoying a baguette or pain au chocolat. And the local Florensac wine was really good. The apartment was conveniently located to many interesting towns. And while it is close to the main highway, it is secluded enough to still feel like you are in the country."

  • Exceeded Expectations !

"Having seen the gorgeous pictures advertising this property, we expected quite a lot, but the reality when we saw the house and garden, exceeded even our expectations and in truth as good as the photos advertising the property are they don't begin to do this lovely house justice. On arrival, we received a really warm welcome from the owner who showed us around the house and explained where all the local amenities were. The village of Caunes-Minervois is stunning and between the village amenities and the house our every need was catered for. We made several trips whilst we were here, Carcasonne, Minerve and Sete and after a long day sightseeing, it was a pleasure to return to Caunes and this lovely house each evening.. We were here for a week and my only complaint is that it was not nearly long enough......................................."

  • Wonderful place to experience the French countryside

"I stayed at the Commanderie with my family in March, and it was an incredible experience. The medieval architecture was beautiful, and the bedrooms and common areas were spacious and comfortable. The house is great for families—5 bedrooms (2 for kids), gorgeous swimming pool, large, elegant dining table, and a great courtyard for relaxing and enjoying the fresh air. Watching the sunset from the garden was amazing! All the amenities were appreciated, and the market was not a far drive. Aubais is a beautiful medieval town that is not so crowded and has wonderful sights. You can really experience the French countryside here. Overall, a magical place to spend your vacation. Would stay here again!"

Fun on the Languedoc-Roussillon Coast

Scuba diving is available in numerous areas on the coast, too. If you seek a challenge, try surfing or even windsurfing off the coast of Languedoc-Roussillon. Two winds, the Tramontane and the Marin, converge on the coast and create exciting adventures for people who enjoy water sports. Argeles Sur Mer has been recognized for its efforts in making its beaches and facilities more usable for visitors with disabilities, so everyone can enjoy the beauty and fun of the seaside.

Sample the Wines of Languedoc-Roussillon

The region of Languedoc-Roussillon is renown for its wines. It's said that grapevines have grown in the region longer than people have walked the earth. The Mediterranean environment produces grapes that have inspired wine industrialists like James Herrick and Robert Skalli. Languedoc-Roussillon is also Europe's largest wine producer. Take a tour through these historic vineyards and bring a bottle home to your villa in Languedoc-Roussillon.
