  • A hidden gem right in the midst of it all…...

"This proved to be a wonderful introduction to life in France for our two offspring, Amy 12, and Ed 10, over the week of our stay. The listing description and accompanying photo's had wet our appetite when we had pre-booked, and upon arrival our expectations were all easily met and over the week's stay, in most cases, surpassed. Waking up to a different type of market each day, and going and getting freshly baked items for breakfast proved a big draw for the children. The local beach was easy to get to, and we had several days enjoying sun, sea, and surf. The warm summer evenings were spent enjoying fine food and local wine at our adopted 'doorstep' restaurants, after which we would all stagger back very slowly to the quiet and welcoming coolness of the air conditioned apartment. Highly recommended to anyone seeking the experience of everyday French life."

  • Exceptional quality and breathtaking views!

"We stayed for a week with our two children (aged 3 and 6). The cottage is located in a historic vineyard (Daumas Gassac) in Aniane, a quaint medieval village about 40 mins north of Montpellier. This is an exceptional property with absolutely breathtaking views. We were greeted promptly and welcomed with several complementary bottles of the winery's Rose Frizant. The cottage has been fully renovated and includes every modern amenity - yet retains many of its original stonework which really gives it its charm. There were two bedrooms and two baths, bedding was of exceptional quality, and I loved the bathrobes! The cottage was tastefully appointed, impeccably clean, and very well equipped. The fresh water infinity pool was gorgeous (and heated), with incredible views of the adjacent vineyard and rolling hills of the region. There were many pool toys on hand, and the ledges at either side of the pool made it more accessible to our young children. Our hosts Samuel and Muffi were gracious and responsive to our every need. They provided many recommendations for bakeries, markets, and restaurants - and even took care of making reservations. We had children of similar ages who had many opportunities to play and swim together - my kids keep asking when we can see them again ! This property is great for families (esp younger children) as backyard contains swing set and trampoline. Don't miss a tour of the winery or the wine - it is excellent (I particularly loved the 2013 White). In short, an exceptional property with wonderful hosts. Their 5-star rating is well deserved. Looking forward to our opportunity to return! Thanks to you both, Samuel and Muffi - and hopefully our paths will cross again (in France or SF :)"

"A wonderfully quiet cottage, with a perfect location between Provence and Languedoc. The house is very tastefully decorated, has a wonderful pool, which is surrounded by a beautiful garden area. Jasmine and Patrice are very nice hosts who have supported us many good tips for exploring the surrounding area."
