  • Delightful

"A very quiet, peaceful location just a short drive from the lovely city of Uzes. We stayed for a week in late September at Villa la Colline and enjoyed every minute. The interior is modern and tasteful, and the outdoor spaces are wonderful. The view from the deck out front is superb, and the private back garden made us feel that the place was our very own. We visit France to cook and eat, and we put together some delicious meals in the well-equipped kitchen. Uzes has two market days, and there's a good supermarket just five minutes away by car. Uzes is a great place to eat as well, if you want someone else to do the cooking. We enjoyed many lunches sitting outside and watching the bustle of the town. Hosts David and Ghislaine are fun and extremely helplful. Thanks to their advice, we ate at excellent restaurants, visited nearby Nimes, kayaked down the Garde and under the iconic Pont du Garde, and even went for an ocean dip in the Camargue region. We will be back."

  • Excellent house in The Cevennes

"We had a lovely 2 weeks in the Cevennes. The house is very well equipped, very comfortable and the heated pool is quite a luxury. The house is tastefully decorated and is virtually on one level - this was good for our party of three generations who all enjoyed their stay. There are walks right from the back door straight into proper wilderness and down to the beautiful river. St Jean du Gard has all you would need including nice cafes and markets. We will be returning!"

  • Exceptional quality and breathtaking views!

"We stayed for a week with our two children (aged 3 and 6). The cottage is located in a historic vineyard (Daumas Gassac) in Aniane, a quaint medieval village about 40 mins north of Montpellier. This is an exceptional property with absolutely breathtaking views. We were greeted promptly and welcomed with several complementary bottles of the winery's Rose Frizant. The cottage has been fully renovated and includes every modern amenity - yet retains many of its original stonework which really gives it its charm. There were two bedrooms and two baths, bedding was of exceptional quality, and I loved the bathrobes! The cottage was tastefully appointed, impeccably clean, and very well equipped. The fresh water infinity pool was gorgeous (and heated), with incredible views of the adjacent vineyard and rolling hills of the region. There were many pool toys on hand, and the ledges at either side of the pool made it more accessible to our young children. Our hosts Samuel and Muffi were gracious and responsive to our every need. They provided many recommendations for bakeries, markets, and restaurants - and even took care of making reservations. We had children of similar ages who had many opportunities to play and swim together - my kids keep asking when we can see them again ! This property is great for families (esp younger children) as backyard contains swing set and trampoline. Don't miss a tour of the winery or the wine - it is excellent (I particularly loved the 2013 White). In short, an exceptional property with wonderful hosts. Their 5-star rating is well deserved. Looking forward to our opportunity to return! Thanks to you both, Samuel and Muffi - and hopefully our paths will cross again (in France or SF :)"

  • A Great Place to Stay!

"After looking at every feasible place with 35-45 miles of Avignon, we chose this villa in Vers Pont du Gard, and it met or exceeded every expectation. A quiet location with security and privacy behind locked gates. An amazing kitchen for those who like to shop for food and cook French meals, plus a grill just outside. Two tables inside and two tables outside for a place to dine. A very large shower and bath/jacuuzzi area with twin sinks. Two comfortable sleeping rooms with plenty of storage. A comfortable area for TV, DVD, Internet and WiFi. A five minute walk takes you to a local grocer, bakery, and wine producer. Nearby there are a variety of attractions to satisfy every interest and to keep you busy, plus there are a wide selection of restaurants to please almost anyone. What's not to love about this villa?"
