  • Exceptional quality and breathtaking views!

"We stayed for a week with our two children (aged 3 and 6). The cottage is located in a historic vineyard (Daumas Gassac) in Aniane, a quaint medieval village about 40 mins north of Montpellier. This is an exceptional property with absolutely breathtaking views. We were greeted promptly and welcomed with several complementary bottles of the winery's Rose Frizant. The cottage has been fully renovated and includes every modern amenity - yet retains many of its original stonework which really gives it its charm. There were two bedrooms and two baths, bedding was of exceptional quality, and I loved the bathrobes! The cottage was tastefully appointed, impeccably clean, and very well equipped. The fresh water infinity pool was gorgeous (and heated), with incredible views of the adjacent vineyard and rolling hills of the region. There were many pool toys on hand, and the ledges at either side of the pool made it more accessible to our young children. Our hosts Samuel and Muffi were gracious and responsive to our every need. They provided many recommendations for bakeries, markets, and restaurants - and even took care of making reservations. We had children of similar ages who had many opportunities to play and swim together - my kids keep asking when we can see them again ! This property is great for families (esp younger children) as backyard contains swing set and trampoline. Don't miss a tour of the winery or the wine - it is excellent (I particularly loved the 2013 White). In short, an exceptional property with wonderful hosts. Their 5-star rating is well deserved. Looking forward to our opportunity to return! Thanks to you both, Samuel and Muffi - and hopefully our paths will cross again (in France or SF :)"

  • wonderful location

"Have just returned from 2 weeks in Uzes staying at this property. It is in a really good location really clean on arrival (and serviced weekly) with only a short walk into the heart of the town yet really peaceful location on a private gated estate. Locals are really friendly and Diane and Parn make you really welcome and are there to advise great places to go. The house is well equipped should you want to do a "Jamie Oliver" with the wonderful fresh ingredients available. There are numerous bars and restaurants in town, (3 course lunch menu Plat du Jour 13.90Euros -well worth trying). There are two good markets a week in Uzes - or just sit in the spacious garden with a glass and a book! For off season holidays central heating (unusual for a French property) and English as well as French TV (flat screen). Property ideal for two couples as upstairs and down bathrooms. This is the best property we have stayed in when visiting France (some 25 years!!)"
