An oasis in the heart of town
"We stayed for 2 weeks in Olivier's beautiful home in Uzes and it was a perfect base for our time exploring the area. The house is located just a few minutes walk from the square at the heart of town and as a result it was very easy to head out to get any supplies, or for a meal at any of the many good restaurants in town. It was also a treat to pop out each morning to go pick up the bread from the selection of the boulangerie's up the road! It was just my husband and I in the house for some of the time and we also had 2 other family members join us. Although it was more space than 2 people would need, we loved the layout and it's perfectly suited to having multiple couples staying. Many a good glass of french wine was shared at the big dining table downstairs or out by the lovely pool area. Uzes is a very close drive (or bus ride) to a lot of main tourist sights in the region, and it has the bonus of being just large enough to have all the amenities you need but not so big that you loose the lovely small local village feel. Like many others have said, we hope to return again soon!"

"This was a wonderful home base for our stay in Uzes. We enjoyed the beauty of the apartment and the convenience of being in the heart of Uzes. We slept so well on the bed, I wanted to take it home. We enjoyed shopping at the Saturday market and coming home to cook (just be warned there is no full sized oven, so plan accordingly). We also enjoyed photographing the Duchy during an evening lightning storm right out the window. The only downside might be that, given it's location in the heart of Uzes, it was occasionally a little noisy - particularly when the children were arriving at the nearby school at the start of the day.
The hospitality and communication were great and check-in/check-out were super easy. The apartment was very clean and exactly what we expected based on the listing description and photos.
For the price, this apartment is unbeatable (at least that's our humble opinion) and we would highly recommended it."

"We have stayed here in Serviers et LaBaume with Ghislaine and David 3 times and plan to visit again later this year. The house is very comfortable, great bed, and the kitchen well equipped and the views from the terrace are sublime. The property accesses the promenades and grandees randonees out the back door and there are seemingly endless sites and walks and villages to visit in the area. Uzes, the most beautiful small town in France is just 5 minutes away with great restaurants and shops and a lively market twice a week all year. David and Ghislaine are marvelous hosts. Couldn't be better!"

"We had two weeks in this lovely home and only wish we could have stayed longer. The house has all that you would need and soon feels like a home from home. To be honest, the weather was so perfect during our stay that we spent most of our time in the outside areas. The shaded dining area right outside of the back door was perfect for the fresh bread and pastries that we walked into Uzes for each morning and a treat in the evening for meals cooked on the barbecue. The pool area has a wonderful mix of sun and shade throughout the day and the pool itself definitely appreciated when cooling off was needed! Stephanie and Thierry could not have been more helpful and welcoming. Luckily for us their English is far superior to our French, so communication was good. As for Uzes itself, it is a truly lovely town, with every amenity. It was not our first stay in the area and we still could come back for more! The walk from the house into Uzes is an easy stroll and what better start to the day than a meandering walk into the boulangerie? Or in the evening for a long, leisurely dinner? We would definitely recommend this property and the area."
