  • A wonderful place to stay

"We had a wonderful time at La Calisanne. Very pleasant owners to deal with and where any questions you may have from the time of booking to and during your stay are taken care of promptly. They have thought of literally everything and there was not one thing we would have missed or wished to be different. A special note also to the absolutely fully equipped kitchen, something we have never experienced throughout our many rentals and which is appreciable for someone preferring to cook a good lunch or diner. We found everything to be perfect for the house, ammenities and surroundings! The house is located in a wonderful area, very quiet though close to the village. You won't miss any comfort here as everything has been arranged and thought of with great care. Well designed, bright and sunny interior with a lovely garden (plenty of lights at night if you wish so) and a superb pool which has an absolutely fantastic view. A great place to wind down, relax and enjoy the tranquility. If you like to visit like we do, you have plenty of charming villages nearby within a short driving distance, the sea being less than an hour away and on your visits, you can enjoy one of the restaurants on your way or take a break and visit one of the many wineyards for wine tasting and to fill up your wine cellar again. We highly recommend the house and place and will certainly retain it in our favorites for futur "Provence Verte" visits."

  • Wonderful apartment - wonderful location

"The owner, Caroline, was most responsive from the time of our first contact through the date of our departure. The apartment was sparkling clean and had all the amenities you would want during a week-long stay in Aix-en-Provence. The location is perfect for exploring the city, shopping and for catching buses and trains for day excursions. We highly recommend this apartment to anyone contemplating a visit to Aix."

  • Great for family french immersion year abroad, extended stay

"Our family of 5 (kids aged 7,9,11) spent a wonderful school year in Puyloubier. We lived in the Pierre Jacquemet house from August 2013 to July 2014. The house is in a great location and is just a 2 minute walk to the bakeries, cafe, store, post office, bank machine, playground and elementary school. Puyloubier is a very welcoming village in a beautiful setting surrounded by vineyards and located at the foot of Sainte Victoire. A great Southern France experience for the whole family. The house has a great terrace with BBQ, a nice main bathroom and a lovely family room. It is well equipped and furnished which is hugely convenient for an easy extended stay. The local caretakers, Melina and Eric, are great people who are extremely welcoming and professional. Beth and Tony are great landlords. All around a great family experience."

  • Perfect base in the heart of Vieil Aix

"We must simply agree with all other reviews - the owners were friendly and charming, the apartment was clean, well maintained and equipped with everything a family of four (kids 14 and 9) could need for a week in Aix. Although one is right in the heart of Old Aix, minutes from squares with markets, restaurants galore, 5 mins from a well-stocked Monoprix (supermarket) shutting the windows effectively keeps the apartment very peaceful - and there is air-conditioning if it's stifling. The owners have a private car parking space about 5-10 mins walk away - you won't need a car in Aix (we walked quite happily to Cezanne's studio on the outskirts), but if you want to get to the coast and the environs a car is useful. In short, we thoroughly recommend this apartment and Aix as a wonderful holiday destination - the town is full of beautiful narrow streets with lovely squares, countless fountains and charming cafes. We look forward to our next visit and hope we can stay in this apartment again!"
