  • The Apple of Avignon

"My wife and I (mid 60's) spent one week in October at Francis's flat in the heart of Avignon. His place was generous in size, clean and comfortable and made it the perfect spot to explore Avignon and the surrounding small villages and open markets in Provence. Francis also included a very detailed booklet for each one of his guests, that included just about as much information on Provence as did Rick Steeves travel guide. So we went with Francis's booklet and every recommendation was fabulous. The only thing a person should be concerned about, if they are watching their weight, is this 'to die for' patisserie that is located about 100 feet from his place. Our ritual was each morning we began the day with coffee and a plate of French pastries....what a way to live!! We both highly recommend his flat, and we will definitely be doing another trip this way and will stay at his place much longer....one week was just not enough."

  • Beautiful villa in an excellent location!

"We recently returned from a wonderful week in this beautiful home. We spent the week with our adult children and their spouses and everyone agreed that we could not have made a better choice. The home is well-equipped and at the end of a quiet street. We enjoyed the ease with which we were able to take day trips to the lovely towns in Provence and return in the afternoon to enjoy the perfect weather and beautiful pool and grounds. The landscaping around Monique's special oasis was park like. She was extremely accommodating and kind. There were fresh fruits and vegetables available upon our arrival. The fresh eggs from the resident hen were delicious. The home is close to restaurants and grocery stores. The charcuterie in Les Angles hand cut steaks for us one night for dinner. The most memorable part of our trip was the owner. She did everything she could to make sure that we had a wonderful trip.....and we certainly did. It was a week that we will never forget. Thank you, Monique."

  • “C'est magnifique!”

"My husband and I stayed at La Maison des Vignes for just over a week and were absolutely bowled over by our hoiday. The owners had thought of every aspect from a warm welcome to a fond farewell which made our stay unforgettable! We stayed in one of the cottages which was tastefully furnished with a nod to "french chic" and very comfortable. We were able to breakfast on the terrace, relax by the pool and spend the evenings with a glass or two of wine watching the sun go down over the Provencal mountaintops..! It was an easy place to use as a base for when we ventured out in our rental car to explore the stunning surrounding countryside or the very impressive city of Avignon. By the end of our holiday we had made true friends for life and felt revived and refreshed - just what a holiday should be about. A vacation in this beautiful property nestled in the acres of grapevines by the mountains of Provence was truly an experience to remember giving us memories to cherish. Can't wait to do it all over again...really was " la vie tres bonne"!!"

  • Fabulous duplex

"We really enjoyed our stay in this very comfortable, spacious apartment. It was clean and well maintained. Catherine, who was our contact, was delightful and very helpful - awesome and amazing would sum it up. She gave us information re places to eat, things to see, places to shop.It was an excellent location, not far from the train station, and close to everything. Although we ended up walking everywhere, a small electric bus went right past our door. A ride on it was on my to do list, but the week went very fast and I never did get to it. There were a few minor issues which Patrick, the owner, dealt with quickly and efficiently. He too was very personable and helpful. The whole stay was delightful and we had a wonderful time. We rented a car for three days and we were provided with a parking pass which was really helpful"
