  • The Apple of Avignon

"My wife and I (mid 60's) spent one week in October at Francis's flat in the heart of Avignon. His place was generous in size, clean and comfortable and made it the perfect spot to explore Avignon and the surrounding small villages and open markets in Provence. Francis also included a very detailed booklet for each one of his guests, that included just about as much information on Provence as did Rick Steeves travel guide. So we went with Francis's booklet and every recommendation was fabulous. The only thing a person should be concerned about, if they are watching their weight, is this 'to die for' patisserie that is located about 100 feet from his place. Our ritual was each morning we began the day with coffee and a plate of French pastries....what a way to live!! We both highly recommend his flat, and we will definitely be doing another trip this way and will stay at his place much longer....one week was just not enough."

  • A Spacious Slice of Heaven in the Heart of Avignon

"WOW! We spent two luxurious months in this wonderful apartment and feel confident that years from now when we remember our trip to Avignon, it'll be this apartment that we fondly remember the most. The highlight for us was the terrace, gardens and Koi pond to share a bottle of local wine, salad, baguette and fromage. Everything is walkable and convenient and it's a great jump-off place to explore other towns in Provence. Jack, the owner, couldn't be more charming and helpful, going above and beyond the call of duty to make sure we were comfortable. We'd never even consider staying elsewhere when we return. I highly recommend this wonderful piece of paradise to anyone."

  • well kept apartment

"This was a very clean apartment in the old town, excellent location for visiting Avignon, the owner could not have been more helpful and gave us lots of advise on where to go, and where to find restaurants which were not just touristy but served excellent food. the location was perfect as a base to travel to other towns in the area an also to go wine tasting in the wonderful Chateauneuf region. I would definitely go back. We were a bit unlucky if you want to call it that as we had a heat wave during our stay, but Mme Guisnet came in from her home to bring us some fans to keep cool. A very good stay and an excellent host. Thank you Mme Guisnet"

  • Excellent Location

"Our two week stay lived up to our expectations. The house is spacious and well equipped and the pool and boule pitch helped entertain two active teenagers. We found the location very convenient with the local shops to provide breakfast and a large supermarket only a short drive away. It was easy to walk either to Avignon or Villeneuve les Avignon both 20 to 30 minutes away. Both locations have excellent restaurants and plenty to see and do. The owner and the local caretaker were friendly and sorted the only issue we had quickly and efficiently. We would certainly consider a future holiday in this villa."
