Recent Luberon Area reviews

  • Perfect spot to explore the many pituresque villages of the Luberon area in the south of France.

"Our week at Villa Terre Neuve was a wonderful experience! We were able to explore 16 of the quaint historic villages in the area, go to numerous markets which happen on different days of the week in different villages and get a real feel for the south of France, it's culture, history and people. It is a photographers paradise. Though it was a bit too cool to enjoy a swim in the pool, we had cocktails and appetizers each evening by the pool just enjoying the beautiful garden, fresh air and quiet before dinner. What a great get-away!"

  • Loving Loumarin

"My husband and I rented this lovely cottage for a week in Sept 2014. It was perfect! Everything you could want for was supplied for a very comfortable stay....the cottage very authentic to the surroundings but modern conveniences thoughtfully provided. The king bed is so comfortable, best sleep we had on our travels. The cottage has a private courtyard out front, perfect for that late afternoon glass of wine. You can tell the owners take great pride in their home and it's presentation when you first arrive is immaculate and has many sweet touches. Kristine could not have been more helpful and attentive, had many suggestions and recommendations for sightseeing and restaurants. Always available but never intrusive. As for the village, it is charming. You are steps always from the bakery, just a few steps more and you reach the square which has several restaurants, interesting stores, and a small grocery. We tried Cafe Gaby (good food, friendly service, wonderful for enjoying an apertif and watching the world go by), also Pizza Nonni right across from the cottage. Again, very friendly establishment and wonderful food. The tiramisu was sooo good you will feel guilty for days! For things to do, the Friday Lourmarin market was so much fun, good variety of tasty products. We didn't eat many dinners out but made many impromptu dinners from the spoils from our market visits! Lourmarin also has a very interesting chateau. Further afield are many interesting villages to explore....our personal favorites were Rouissillon (don't miss the ochre trail) and Cucuron (some wonderful viewpoints to climb up to, and have lunch at L'Etage, the meal was delicious and the setting of so beautiful! You will not regret staying in this wonderful cottage, in such a beautiful location, THANK YOU Kristine and Thierry for sharing your home! Judy and Tom"

  • Exceeded our expectations

"Even given charming descriptions and beautiful images you never quite know what to expect when booking holiday accommodation, but this was one of those places which far exceeded our expectations. We spent a week here in April, 2014. Mum and Dad with daughter, husband and their 6 mth old baby. Cot and bedclothes provided free of charge. All had our own space and privacy. Owners have thought of everything. Fully equipped kitchen a plus when travelling for several weeks (from Australia) and wanting to cook at 'home' and relax. The beautiful fireplace made for very cosy evenings. Wonderful location with stunning views. Parking outside the door. Located just outside the village, this property is very private even though we had the comfort of knowing there were other properties close by. Couldn't have asked for anything more. Bonnieux is a delightful village with plenty of restaurants, cafe's and ready access to many other gorgeous villages all within 30 mins drive. Countryside sensational, surrounded by lavender fields, vineyards and green rolling hills. Perfect for cycling from village to village. Nearby markets held almost every day. Produce on display belonged on the cover of Vogue ! Loved having the chance to purchase and cook at home as well as dining out. Owners couldn't have been more accommodating or helpful. Supplied us with lots of information before we arrived, even arranged for a caretaker to meet us in the village and direct us to the property. Have already recommended this villa to family and friends."
