A wonderful family retreat
"Our stay here was very special. The property is conveniently located to some must-see destinations in Provence, including historical villages, gourmet markets and chateaus. The house itself is nestled in amongst the woods, so you truly feel like you’re on holiday, and is beautifully furnished with a relaxing vibe. There five of us would recommend this property in a heartbeat."

"The pictures do not do it justice. My wife and I rent from Homeway every time we travel and we have never rented the perfect house in the perfect location. Until our trip this month to Provence. My wife gasped like she had won a car on a game show when we opened the gray door to the gardens. We spent two weeks in Provence and Gordes was the most beautiful of all the towns we visited and it was our town!!! The house is actually IN town. Other reviews say '2 min walk to town' - what they mean is 2 min walk (or less to the town center). While it is in town it feels incredibly secluded and is up above the hustle and bustle of the town. The only downside of the house is that it is so appealing that it's hard to leave to go sightsee :) And be home for sunset! Set up chairs in the garden and enjoy the beautiful show. Would we go back? You bet."

"Our family of six (three adults, three college students) enjoyed a lovely week in this comfortable, tastefully decorated house with its superb views of the Luberon hills. The house itself is functionally designed, with a well-equipped kitchen, three nicely renovated full bathrooms (with wall-mounted showers), and five bedrooms spread across two wings for privacy. Views from the patio and pool are outstanding, and the setting is remarkably tranquil. We spent most of our free time enjoying these outdoor spaces. A very pleasant place to stay, and nicer than the photos on the website manage to convey. Definitely recommended."

"My husband and I have travelled extensively, but had never been to Provence and was looking for the perfect getaway for our 30th wedding anniversary. We wanted something near quaint towns where we could walk & explore and have some wine & food, and take advantage of the incredible outdoor markets that occur throughout Provence. We found this house in Les Baumettes/Gordes, and we didn't want to leave. The house is well appointed with all of the conveniences of home. The beds (new) are extremely comfortable. Because we love to cook (all of the incredible fish, meats, cheeses & produce at the daily markets), a kitchen which was easy to operate was key. We took daily walks/runs & bicycled throughout the vineyards and villages surrounding this beautiful place. We swam daily in the large, comfortable swimming pool & watched nightly gorgeous sunsets, followed by star filled skies.
The villages of Gordes, Coustellet, La Coste & Menerbes are all within a short drive and perfect for an aperitif before dinner and exploring the churches, vineyards & town squares.
We stayed for 2 weeks here & are planning our return for a month next year.... Completely a heavenly house in the middle of Provence!"
