  • shoulder season experience

"This villa features completely renovated interiors to suit American sensibilities without sacrificing provencal charm. Beddings are superior and spa_like. gourmet kitchen stocked to detail. It"s location inside village is most convenient. just steps away from a Mechelin rated restaurant and wineries, one could actually do without auto rental for a complete experience. This was my third trip to this property and I am already planning my return!"

  • Perfection in Provence

"My 2 young relatives and I spent 10 days at the end of the summer at this very beautiful house in Cavaillon. The house is truly beautiful, with a marvelous kitchen--large, attractive, and wonderfully outfitted. Bedrooms are large, light and extremely comfortable. Every modern convenience has been brought into the house and it is immaculate in every way. There is also plenty of LR space and outdoors a very nice garden with eating place for outdoor dining right off the kitchen. There is also an immaculately clean and attractive swimming pool. Cavaillon is perfectly situated--within easy reach of Aix-en-Provence, Avignon, Cassis, Rousillon, Gordes, Les Baux, Menerbes, Bonnieux, Oppede-le Vieux, Arles, St. Remy, Isle Sur La Sorgue and a host of other delightful towns with wonderful outdoor markets and everything Provence has to offer. The owners couldn't be friendlier or more eager to help. I not only would but already have recommended this place to friends and relatives and look forward to going back the next time Provence is on my agenda."

  • Heaven in the Luberon!

"Our group of 7 adults and 5 children spent a week at Mas de la Boissiere. The home, location, facilities and accommodations are all even better than described and shown in the photos. We were greeted by Ulrike who showed us around, then disappeared. She reappeared through the week to clean and tidy up while we were out. She and Rene, who live on the property, were available to answer questions and offer advice when requested but otherwise were not seen. The Mas is in a lovely location, close to several towns and villages along interesting, winding roads, with little traffic. The grounds are spacious, the pool is large and inviting. It, along with the ping pong table, the cupboard of books and puzzles, and the library of DVDs kept the young ones busy when we were not out exploring the nearby markets and hill towns, or hiking. The house itself is perfect for a large group, with lots of room for lounging and hanging out together as well as quiet places to get away for awhile. The kitchen and dining room are spacious and easily accommodated us all. The ensuite bedrooms are very luxurious and comfortable. Everything is very clean and well-maintained, a perfect home away from home. We left reluctantly but with many happy memories: early morning bakery runs, kids playing games in the pool or hide and seek on the lawn, visits to Cucuron and Lourmarin markets, the beautiful villages of Ansouis and Bonnieux, and the castle at Les Baux. We also enjoyed Aix, which is only an hour away. Probably best of all are the memories of preparing wonderful meals from local produce, then enjoying them together, with lots of local wine. We would certainly recommend the Mas to a large group, looking for relaxation and/or wonderful areas to explore. Thank you to Ulrike, Rene and Georgie."

  • A wonderful oasis in the heart of the Luberon

"My husband and I spent one, too short week with two other couples in this fabulous property. The house is laid out with separate areas so each couple felt we had a private area that belonged to us. The kitchen is well-equipped and we were very pleasantly surprised to find a supper prepared and waiting for us in the refrigerator! We set out each day for a different beautiful town, exploring and picnicing along the way. We would arrive "home" in the afternoon, take a dip in the pool, laze about absorbing the delightful atmosphere! Fields of lavender were just beginning to bloom and the sunflowers were just amazing. Fruit stands with fresh and local produce, Cavillon melons, local cherries (the trees were loaded down with the crop), it was truly a wonderful time. The daily markets in the different towns were a treat to behold. Beautiful and wonderful memories to cherish...thanks, Barb, for sharing your bit of paradise!!"
