  • Bonne location familiale

"Location conforme à la description internet ,propriètaire sympathique et discret.Une semaine bien remplie et très agréable avec les visites à faire Baux de provences, Gordes, village des Borries , les ocres du Roussillon, l 'ISle sur Sorgues etc etc sous un beau soleil de septembre .Un véhicule est indispensable pour cette location située en campagne .Un petit bémol, la location n ' a pas d' accès internet , dommage ."

  • Provençal treasure

"Our extended family from the US and Europe spent a magical week in this beautiful home. The house was not only perfect to explore the lovely neighboring villages of Saignon, Roussillon, Gordes, etc., but also to soak in the charm of this beautiful region at the house itself. The property has been lovingly restored, with equal attention directed at style and comfort, and the gardens are absolutely enchanting. The memories of lazy summer days spent by the pool, at the various seating areas surrounding the house, and playing table tennis with the kids will linger for a very long time. The house itself was well-stocked and impeccable. The experience of booking the rental, making arrangements, and getting into the house was seamless. The owners were easy to reach and always responsive to all our questions. We recommend this house highly and we ourselves look forward to returning soon."

  • fantastique - fabulous

"We had a fantastic week. The house is very comfortable. We all fell at home immediately. The pool is great. The garden is splendid. We felt safe with our small children. You DO need a car, as you're a drive from shops and so, but we've enjoyed the peace and quiet sooo much. House is very well equipped. We were with 14 of us and everything was provided for all of us and more. Even towels for the pool. The extended part of the garden is magnificent. The contact with the landlord was very good and his explanation to find the house perfect and necessary :-) We enjoyed every bit of this holiday house."

  • Tranquil luxury at L'Ancienne Poste

"We have just spent two glorious weeks at L’Ancienne Poste in Menerbes, a stunning perched village in the Luberon, made famous by Peter Mayle’s spirited book ‘A Year in Provence’. The second we entered the house, we felt that we were in a haven of calm. Whilst the architecture is breathtaking – one window spans all 4 floors, and an outside terrace has been cleverly carved into the hill – what impressed us most was the atmosphere of tranquility that has been created. The bedrooms are huge and airy, with shuttered windows opening onto a stunning vista of the Luberon valley, the bathrooms, replete with l’occitane products and monogramed towels exude luxury, while the kitchen, impressively equipped with copper pans and provencal platters is enough to inspire the most reluctant of cooks. With an abundance of local produce at the village markets (L’Isle sur la Sorgue on a Sunday morning was our favourite) and excellent local wine, every meal in around the large dining table felt like an occasion. Marie, the property manager, delighted us with her exuberance, charm and knowledge of the local area. It is easy enough to consult guides – and there is a plethora of literature on the surrounding area in the house – but it is hard to beat personal recommendations from a local whose objective is ensuring that you have a wonderful holiday. She had stocked the fridge with traditional French ‘basics’ – bread, cheese, wine, cold meats and fruits – for our arrival and was easily contactable throughout our stay to answer any questions or concerns. Menerbes itself is a very pretty village. Cobbled streets are bordered by lively restaurants and bars and the local supermarket has a good range of fresh fruit, vegetables, cheeses and wine. The views around the village are spectacular, particularly from the truffle restaurant that resides at the highest point, looking out onto a beautiful and historic square. We couldn’t recommend L’Ancienne Poste more highly and look forward to a return visit."
