"We stayed here - two couples - for a week in September 2014 and enjoyed our stay.
The town of Apt is a good base for exploring the villages of the Provence / Luberon area including Roussillon, Gordes, Menerbes and Bonnieux and is only about an hour from the autoroutes and Avignon.
The town has all the standard amenities - shopping, restaurants and markets. It is an old town so most of the streets are not suitable for vehicles. For drivers, park beside the river adjacent to the D900 or the market square to the east of town. Note the warnings for flooding during heavy rain or cars being towed for the market so that there are no surprises.
The apartment is located in the center of Apt, a block away from Ste Anne's Cathedral, about five minutes away from the parking areas, and consists of the upper floors in an old building.
It is quite difficult to imagine the layout from the photographs so this may help. The apartment is accessed by a narrow staircase and the main level is about fifty stairs from the street level. The main level contains the kitchen and living area, one bedroom and loft, toilet and shower / laundry room.
The kitchen is well equipped with all the modern conveniences and a table and chairs for dining. The living area is small with few chairs but has TV and Wi-Fi connections. The TV sound did not work while we were there but that was not an issue for us since we were not watching any TV. The Wi-Fi connection was reliable and we used it with an Ipad for email etc.
On the same level is the first bedroom with a double bed. This also is the access to a small loft with a small bed. This would be suitable for a couple with a young child.
The toilet is a separate WC, and the shower and laundry facilities share the same room.
On the next upper level (another dozen or so stairs) is a loft which overlooks the kitchen / living area. This has twin beds and a low beam. You will at some time (guaranteed) bang your head on the beam.
On the next upper level is an enclosed rooftop loft (another ten or so steps) with a table and a few chairs and a pleasant view over the rooftops of Apt.
The apartment was clean and many basic items were provided - salt and pepper, dish soap, garbage bags, laundry detergent - and stores were within walking distance.
The apartment is well run and the owner is flexible and personable and available if you have any questions or need assistance. We would recommend this property to others."

"sehr gut ausgestattetes, sauberes Haus mit eigenem, abgetrennten Hof und Garten (sehr gut geeignet für Hundebesitzer), das besonders gut als Ausgangspunkt für Fahrten zu Sehenswürdigkeiten (z.B.Colorado provencal, Fontaine de Vaucluse) und Orte (Aix-en-Provence, Avignon, Arles, Isles sur la Sorgue etc.) in der Umgebung dient.
Das Haus ist besonders für Familen mit kleinen Kindern geeignet, da es über zwei sehr gemütliche Gallerien verfügt, die auch Schlafmöglichkeiten für bis zu 4 Personen/Kindern bieten. Dort finden sich auch einige Spielsachen und Spiele (Memory etc.).
Die Vermieter sind äußerst nett und zuvorkommend. Trotz der räumlichen Nähe (das Ferienhaus liegt direkt am Wohnhaus der Vermieter bzw. inmitten ihrer Olivenplantage) ist man als Mieter vollkommen autark - schon allein durch die eigene Einfahrt des Ferienhauses.
Einziger kleiner Wehrmutstropfen ist die nahe gelegene Straße, die man zwar nicht sieht, jedoch die vorbeifahrenden Autos im Garten hört. Dies ist für uns jedoch kein Grund, nicht noch einmal dort Urlaub zu machen!"

"My wife and I spent three weeks at Vignes Folles. While the update to the baths & kitchen were a number of years ago now, all work very well, and the house has tons of charm - not to mention the best location in the Luberon. The house was very clean (not something you always get), and feels like an authentic French mas - which it is! The kitchen works well for a demanding chef, and the shower in the master is very good on pressure and loads of hot water. The pool area and grounds are fantastic. Peaceful and quiet location. Good wifi and Internet phone. We'll be back!!!!"
