  • The perfect cliche'

"This house is all that you would hope it would be! We stay in luxury homes all over the world and this was not a disappointment! Charming is the perfect word without calling the house small for a family of 5! We loved the house, the location, the nearby villages and markets....all a dreamy place to relax, read, and just be with each other! The beds were comfy, the decor was beautiful, the amenities were all that we needed. I would definitely return!"

  • Les Plaines holiday

"After reading through the descriptions of many holiday villas in Provence we settled on Les Plaines as it looked the ideal match to accommodate our large family party. We weren’t disappointed, the views from the patio were superb and we spent many hours relaxing outside enjoying the al fresco dining and fine local wines. We wanted somewhere special as we were celebrating my wife’s 50th birthday. We also wanted to make such everyone had something to enjoy. This we succeeded in doing, visiting many of the idyllic towns and villages of the area to try the local markets and restaurants. This certainly went down well with the girls. The lads got to watch the Tour De France passing through Gordes only a few minutes down the road. Everyone enjoyed the swimming pool and all the home comforts provided at Les Plaines. As a special treat we decided to take advantage of the offer of having someone come in to cook a meal with a local Provencal flavour. Cosette the cook prepared an excellent meal for us and I would thoroughly recommend this option to anyone. Whilst we only stayed for a week the memories of the holiday will last long. • Wonderful

"OMG, this was a wonderful place in Provence. Close to everything, the owner is so friendly and helpful. My family (Son, Dgtr and their families) took me there to celebrate my 70th birthday and all I can think is I want to go back. The house is comfortable and the views fantastic. The children ages 1 to 11 loved the pool, eating on the terrace and the older girls sleep overs in the pool house. If you want a memorable vacation and just want to relax and enjoy the wine, cheese and bread you could not pick a better place as your home base. Hope to go back and celebrate another birthday in a few years."

  • Perfect house to explore Roussillon & surroundings

"This house was great for 3 couples by providing enough privacy for everyone to feel comfortable during a week together. Besides the 3 bedrooms, each with a nearby bathrooms of its own, the courtyard and living areas were expansive enough to allow you to feel you weren't tripping over each other. The view was spectacular from the courtyard and the kitchen was well equipped to turn out delicious meals. The house is close to the center of Roussillon but the privacy provided by the orientation of the courtyard made us feel we were out in the countryside. The house is 50 meters from a number of restaurants and within 200 meters of all the food shops you need to stock the larder. We were there for a week and all agreed we could have stayed much longer without tiring of the house or Roussillon. If you are planning on traveling around the area and have a car, the garage is a big benefit (will hold a Ford MiniVan). The one suggestion we have is a thermal blanket over the dipping pool to bring the temperature up would be appreciated as even in July the winds can be brisk."
