"I feel that I blinked and a week was gone. It has been divine, easily the best place we've rented anywhere around the world. This is one home that actually exceeds its internet descriptions and photos. The house is spacious, with comfortable beds and furniture. The views from the second floor "office" are lovely and the room itself is inviting. For most of the day, the only sounds to be heard come from birds and the light hum of the fridge! Numerous nearby villages make for great evening strolls--Lourmarin, as well as Vaugines, Cucuron, Cadenet, Ansious, are each worthy of a visit. There are splendid Michelin-starred and other decent restaurants within a 5-10 min drive, as well as excellent marches to stock up on food. I highly recommend the Lourmarin marche (comparable in size and scope to Apt's and Vaison la Romaine's, but go early because it gets crowded), as well as the small but comprehensive one in Cadenet. In sum, there's too much to do in a week, so stay longer if you can. (We enjoyed the private tennis court and private pool, too!) You'll get an authentic Provencal experience in the midst of comfort and serenity. Deepest thanks to the owners of La Jassine for sharing their home with the world."

"Everything was fabulous during our stay. The location is perfect and a short walk to all the main attractions. The apartment is charmingly decorated, impeccably spacious, clean and well supplied. Stephan and Nela are gracious hosts.... we spent Christmas there and were greeted with a box of chocolates, a bottle od champagne, as well as a festively decorated place. We served a brunch on Christmas day and they made sure we had enough to serve a group of 5.
We plan to go back and highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to feel "at home" in Avignon."

"The only reason not to write an excellent review for this property would be to try to keep it all to oneself in the hope that no others would find out just how great it is. But that would do a great disservice to a wonderful host, Valerie Sutter.
We have rented in many countries and no place equals 48 Cours Mirabeau. It lacks nothing you might need. Valerie's anticipation of our needs was extraordinary. The terrace is a real bonus.
Others have written effusively about the apartment's location and Aix. To that I can add nothing. If you are a city person, you can't beat Aix for a medium-sized city with all the culture, food and shopping you could desire.
We live in Boulder CO. It is highly regarded as a place to live. Aix beats it by a mile.
We spent July 2015 at 48 Cours Mirabeau. The temperature was mostly in the high 90's while we were here. That would have been enough to ruin many a vacation. Not here. We could always retreat to the apartment's air conditioning after some time exploring.
The bed is full-sized. That worried us as we have a king-size at home. But it is an excellent bed and we slept well.
We did not have a car, but found the local Aix-en-bus pass more than adequate to get around including going out to the nearby countryside villages for wine fairs etc."
