  • Lovely Apartment!

"The apartment is in an excellent location with comfortable beds and a lot of space. There's a tankless water heater, so no shortage of hot water, nor water pressure. Although there was some rain on our visit, we nonetheless really enjoyed the terrace. Kitchen contained everything one could need to prepare a family meal. I we absolutely visit this property again. From booking to departure, it all went smoothly. Donal, the property manager was icing on the cake. His advice and guidance were invaluable! If there were one negative, it would be the toilette situation. Only one WC, which was dated, at that. But.... that is what it is. Wouldn't prevent me from staying again, nor recommending the property to others. We simply loved our stay!"

  • Provence Paradise

"We spent two delightful weeks at Monika's Sheherazde in June. At this time of year the days are hot and sunny, but the nights are cool. Though the cottage is equipped with air conditioning, we didn't use it the whole time! But we did enjoy the pool, where my wife swam multiple laps daily. Though her mobility is limited (she uses a walker), she found it easy to get in and out of the pool, and managed to do so without assistance. The cottage offers easy access, with one small step up; being all one level is a plus, so is the spacious bathroom with standup shower. It was such a pleasure to get to know Monika, who is a kind and generous host. We shared drinks and dinner with her several times on her poolside patio, and enjoyed her company at restaurants she recommended. She thoughtfully introduced us to her select circle of friends, which helped us improve our French while enjoying the social whirl. Monika herself speaks several languages, including perfect English, and is gifted in so many ways. Thank you for making our visit so special, Monika! Her "estate" is about 4 acres, and very much an oasis amid the commercial zone that has spread out around Cavaillon. Her 200 year old farm house faces south and overlooks a small orchard (thanks for the apricots, Monika!) and open fields dotted with cypress and lavender. The cottage is an annex to the house, but sheltered by a high garden wall which affords ample privacy if you want it. It is all very peaceful and beautiful. This is an ideal base for touring, on the edge of the hilly Luberon to the east and the Van Gogh country of Arles and St. Remy to the west. Daily markets offer excellent local produce and lovely wines. Not to be missed are nearby hill-towns like Menerbes and Gordes, as well as lesser-known Lourmarin nestled in a sunny warm valley. Sightseeing opportunities abound, though we seldom got beyond the restaurant terraces where we lingered over sumptuous lunches. Special mention should be made of the cuisine at Sous le Micocouliers in the village of Eygalieres, where the multi-course luncheons under the trees in the garden were a gastronomic high-point of our trip. We would certainly enjoy a return visit, and recommend Sheherazade in the highest possible terms!"

  • highly recommend

"Owners of the home were very helpful; payment process was uncomplicated and all of our questions/emails were answered promptly. The care takers of the home were also incredibly helpful throughout our stay; easy to reach and always available. The location is perfect; short drive from the town, but walkable as well. The house is at the end of a long driveway so was very quiet and no traffic noise. The home was lovely, inside and out. The gardens were maintained and the inside was incredibly clean. There were 10 people in our group; including 4 children ages 6months to 3yrs. The layout of the home was perfect. Although our group was very large we never once felt like the home was not big enough. There is a ton of space indoors, and the very large open floor plan was perfect for smaller children. Plus, the property's outdoor space seemed endless. I highly recommend this Villa and would definitely book again!"

  • Perfect location in the heart of Provence

"Our group of four adult couples enjoyed this lovely and historic house during the first two weeks of May. The four bedrooms, each with en suite bath, are spacious and well-appointed. The kitchen features modern appliances, and the house includes both a washing machine and dryer (not always the case in Europe). There is a second combination washer/dryer in the pool house, along with a small refrigerator. The grounds are beautifully landscaped. From the house we took day trips to St. Remy, Chateaunneuf du Pape, Gigondas, the Luberon, Arles, Nimes, Avignon, Aix en Provence, Cassis, and Les Baux. The owners, Michel & Flora, are friendly and very helpful (although their English is limited). They hooked us up with a top-notch guide to the area and a wonderful chef that we brought in for two dinners. Highly recommended. Dean & Terry Newton - Houston, Texas"
