  • A lovely, peaceful, relaxing villa in the sun

"We had a wonderful two week sojourn in October. Julien was the perfect host and the house very well presented for our arrival. The villa is a wonderful, peaceful, comfortable place to stay and served as the perfect base from which you could go out and explore the beautiful, surrounding villages and charming St Remy."

  • Paradise in Provence

"Exceptional house, exceptional location, exceptional service! The Mas de Pitou has it all -- fully equipped kitchen, many books in French and English, indoor and outdoor dining, swimming pool with outdoor shower, all in a secluded and quiet setting, but only a 15-minute walk to the middle of St-Rémy-de-Provence, with its innumerable restaurants, including three with one-star Michelin ratings in town (La Maison Jaune) or nearby. It's most convenient to have a car to get to the many nearby attractions, such as Les Baux, Pont du Gard, Arles, Avignon, Orange, and much else. You can fly to Marseilles or take the TGV to Avignon and then rent a car there. The let-in lady, Carol Ferri, was thorough in explaining everything about the house, and was always available by telephone if we had any questions. You can't go wrong with this house!"

"What an absolutely charming, restored villa well located in the historic town of St.Remy de Provence!Gilles and Patricia were most gracious and helpful in welcoming us into their gite and providing a lot of good information !Shopping for our daily essentials.....bread,wine,cheese and patisseries were too convenient! We thoroughly appreciated and enjoyed the wonderful produce and Wine that they had for us. Having all the comforts and conveniences of home, made leaving this lovely villa difficult. This location proved to be ideal for our day trips to Chateau Neuf du Pape,Montpellier,Camargue,Nimes,Arles,Luberon,Les Baux Avignon etc. Our visit to Provence was all the more special as we really enjoyed our stay in Gilles and Patricia's gite!"

  • Terrific Experience

"Spent two terrific weeks in this villa. Was great for just my wife and I, but would handle another couple easily. The home was clean and and stocked with every amenities we needed. The home is located within a 5 minute walk a very good market. Just another couple of minutes into town, which is a very lively town, fun to sit and have lunch with the locals. Very good restaurants. Also within driving distance of many of the small hills town, just a terrific place to headquarter in Provence. The owner David could not have been nicer or more willing to help with any question. He has put together a terrific book describing all the restaurants in the area, big help. Could not recommend this property highly enough. One more point, unlike a lot of other properties, this home has a wonderful yard to enjoy for outdoor relaxing or eating."
