  • A Wonderful Place to Stay in a Wonderful Town

"This is a little gem of a house in the lovely town of St. Remy de Provence. Charming and well-equipped, the 200 year old house has comfortable beds, a great shower, wifi, and a clothes washer and dryer (a real plus!). The location is perfect -- on a quiet back street but walkable to everything the town has to offer. Do not miss market day (Wednesday morning) -- it is a joy and a sight for all of the senses. Buy fresh, local, and wonderful meat, vegetables, fruit, cheese, bread and everything else to take back to the house to enjoy your meals. There is also a parking place, so you can keep a car which you'll want for day trips to all of the wonders of Provence: Arles, Avignon, Les Baux, the Luberon, wineries, etc. etc. Gilles and Patricia are lovely hosts who provide all the information you need about the town and the events taking place, as well as a welcoming bottle of Provence's typical rose wine. If you're planning a summer trip, be there for Bastille Day (July 14) to witness the "manifestations taurines" -- bulls running in the streets chased by "bandidos" (cowboys). A great spectacle! My single, small complaint is that the kitchen really needs a better coffee maker. I recommend this rental to anyone wanting a comfortable, clean, charming, well-appointed, and reasonably priced place to stay in a beautiful and friendly town."

  • our week at le Canari

"Our week at le Canari has been wonderful. It has everything that you would need, from a shopping basket to red wine vinegar! The place feels like you are in the country and yet you are less than five minutes from the center of town and the patisserie. I would highly recommend a stay here! We will be back in the not so distant future. Thank you Stephen and Tracey for making our stay wonderful!"

  • Perfect in every way

"Our stay at Le Mas De Pitou was perfect. We were very grateful for the pool as the weather was particularly warm during our week in St Remy. The house exceeded our expectations, you will want for nothing. A peaceful location with a lovely walk into the village, where you will find a variety of restaurants & an amazing market on Wednesdays. Easy walk to the hospital where Van Gogh spent a year of his life producing an array of work, this is next to Glanum, Roman ruins which should not be missed. Highest recommendation for a central location in beautiful Provence."

  • highly recommend

"Owners of the home were very helpful; payment process was uncomplicated and all of our questions/emails were answered promptly. The care takers of the home were also incredibly helpful throughout our stay; easy to reach and always available. The location is perfect; short drive from the town, but walkable as well. The house is at the end of a long driveway so was very quiet and no traffic noise. The home was lovely, inside and out. The gardens were maintained and the inside was incredibly clean. There were 10 people in our group; including 4 children ages 6months to 3yrs. The layout of the home was perfect. Although our group was very large we never once felt like the home was not big enough. There is a ton of space indoors, and the very large open floor plan was perfect for smaller children. Plus, the property's outdoor space seemed endless. I highly recommend this Villa and would definitely book again!"
