  • A beautiful place to stay - thank you.

"We stayed at Mas de Breuil in early July 2014 and it was one of the best rental accommodations we have ever used. We have a lovely home ourselves with nice kitchen and bathrooms and I always want just as high a standard when on holiday. We were not disappointed. The gite is converted from old farm buildings in the grounds of an ancient hunting lodge, where the owners live. There is one other smaller gite across the yard and you can use the swimming pool and tennis court. The whole gite is tastefully furnished with antique and rustic furniture and pieces of art. The accommodation is on three floors. On the ground floor is a very large lounge/dining room with a kitchen and a utility room plus a separate toilet. There is a modern dishwasher and washing machine plus two fridge/freezers. We saw a travel cot and a highchair stored here. There is a bedroom with two single beds (that can be pushed together) on the ground floor. This room has an en-suite shower and toilet - there is no door but there is a dividing wall. This bedroom would be ideal for someone with limited mobility as access is completely level from outside and the shower/toilet area could be easily accessed with a wheelchair. On the next floor there are two bedrooms, each with two single beds, plus a separate shower room and a separate toilet. On the top floor under the eaves is a large double bedroom with its own bathroom (or was it a shower room - didn't go up there much!). So it accommodates eight very comfortably. Each room has air conditioning - wonderful! The only suggestion we would make to improve the gite would be to add an extra sofa - there weren't enough comfortable seats for all seven of us to sit and watch a DVD - we brought in a couple of (nice) deck-chairs from outside to deal with this. The owner was friendly and helpful, both during the booking process and on site. There is a big, black, bouncy, barking dog, which is also very friendly and which we enjoyed playing with but you might like to be prepared if you have dog-phobic members in your party. Parents with young children should also be aware that the swimming pool is not fenced off and that there are pieces of agricultural machinery, and a small river, within walking distance - there is no enclosed garden and small children would need to be watched (but that's normal, isn't it). Overall we would definitely recommend this gite to anyone wanting a comfortable holiday in this beautiful part of France."

  • A delightful experience!

"My husband and I came to Provence for our second visit so we could see a little more of the Vaucluse area and so he could cycle to the top of Mt. Ventoux (a bucket list item). Natalie's and Mark's apartment made the whole week we were there a delight. The apartment is centrally located in the region and is so clean and comfortable you almost don't want to leave. Natalie was a wonderful host, ensuring that we had everything we needed and making herself available for any questions. My husband and I are experienced European apartment renters and I can state that this apartment and hosts are among of best."

  • Perfect base in the heart of Vieil Aix

"We must simply agree with all other reviews - the owners were friendly and charming, the apartment was clean, well maintained and equipped with everything a family of four (kids 14 and 9) could need for a week in Aix. Although one is right in the heart of Old Aix, minutes from squares with markets, restaurants galore, 5 mins from a well-stocked Monoprix (supermarket) shutting the windows effectively keeps the apartment very peaceful - and there is air-conditioning if it's stifling. The owners have a private car parking space about 5-10 mins walk away - you won't need a car in Aix (we walked quite happily to Cezanne's studio on the outskirts), but if you want to get to the coast and the environs a car is useful. In short, we thoroughly recommend this apartment and Aix as a wonderful holiday destination - the town is full of beautiful narrow streets with lovely squares, countless fountains and charming cafes. We look forward to our next visit and hope we can stay in this apartment again!"

  • Perfect Provence

"We had 4 couples, some celebrating 30th wedding anniversaries & birthdays. We rented the 5-bedroom house so we had plenty of space. The home was lovely, clean, appropriately decorated, tasteful. I just wish we had more time to relax in the home but with only one week to explore Provence, we had to run every day to Avignon, Aix, Arles, St Remy, etc. Next time we will stay longer. Both Gabby & Guy were helpful in many ways. She arranged a wonderful local chef to make a special dinner in the house. It was truly the best meal we enjoyed during our 16-day French trip. (Local restaurants are truly divine as well.) If you wonder if these reviews are accurate, rest assured, they are! Can't wait to return. Thank you!"
